The only time effort really has to be considered here is if both players claim the default.
What is being determined is who is actually interested in playing in the next round. sean posted and showed interest, you didn't. As far as dgen knew, you could've been gone the entire time. Due to the number of games, he can't check every default.
So if one player posts, he's through. Only if both players post is the actual effort considered.
This was posted on all clan threads several times. You just didn't post.

I don't think anyone looks like the bad man- it's simply a default that was done based on who expressed interest and who didn't. This is a voluntary tourney that nobody signed up for, so in my eyes nobody looks bad for not playing the games.

Yes you did, but i kept people updated with what was going on, i have also been logging in near enough every day and posting and what not on both sites. You spent a number of days offline, came on to browse. You have no recent results (well didnt when the deadline was up)

just to let everyone know there is a maximum of 27 points (9 without bonuses) overall on offer (so maximum of 9 points per table) so the magic number is 14 so if your 9-1 down going into original you can still win providing you win 3-0 with 3 cents. Once you/opponent can't win anymore you can stop or carryon playing

If it had to be scheduled right down to the last second then why didn't you reply? How does that work?

Wow you took all of a week to reply to that, now you may see why i never replied back to you. May i say again you had no recent results and from i had been told you had not been on server for well over a week or more. I was active every single day you where not hense why they put me through.
