Its about time we all came together to push for a shared common goal. I'm calling all orig, power, killer and carom players....

No longer should we have to sit in an empty room bored waiting for a seemingly never coming opponent! There is an answer:-

Practice high break tables... its that simple, something to help pass the time while your waiting...

Yes I know ppl will be knocking the balls over the pockets and ill be clearing the blue and green off there spots in power before attempting a 250. I also know there be 100x 147's a day in most modes... but who cares? its got to beat sitting doing nothing?

The carom game is already programmed and running, all it needs is a tweak to show the points totalling and to not reset the balls when a player joins... For those that hadn't realised if your on a good run you can move from the game room to a chat room and your see your shots have been tallied

It's got to be a big improvement to the site? It will encourage ppl to make rooms rather than join arcade games, it should help the other modes to be more popular and it will help ppl practice and improve...

Love this idea slatty, perfect way to the boredem.

Sometimes even waiitng for a couple of minutes in arcade is a bore, and we need something to just keep it flowing

favour too, i tend to smash pack in practice anyway (orig), and if i am on a practice max i go to members hopefully before someone joins.

would also cancel what i had yesterday, joined carom tournie room, and as i was taking a practice shot (i normally pause when pushing cue through for soft shots) and precise moment of pushing cue through my opponent joined so it took the lag for me (no ones fault just one of those things)

I think a function of like "delayed game active", meaning if you create a game with this ticked then you have control of when the game starts.

Is that people may get funny and abuse may start about being booted from the room etc. People could also use this as a sort of "power" thing, although i think that would be a little ridiculous

yup what i mean is you would be booted before the game starts so no harm done. (be same as not pressing yes after 20 seconds and being moved to members bar)

only issue i can see if tournaments as you could potentially lose rank over it since its a scheduled match but thats the risk (same with carrying on with your break in tournaments).

Quite a nice idea, cannot see any many flaws with it atm.

But as you said you would get many people pushing balls over pockets to reach a maximum or 200+ (Power) but thats all part of the game, as you said its practice!

So yeah im all for this idea!

An hour hosting power games and only a single opponent that left after a few balls......

Surely there is more support for this idea?

i do agree on the pool side on Straight i had to wait one hour for a single opponent, played 1 he left then i had to wait a further 30 minutes before asking a mate in pm to play, this was during the day (maybe at dinnertime).

i could only practice 8 ball too not actual Straight, Power is the same as its basically Regular but a diamond pack instead of a triangle.

wondering what practice breaks could be made if everything was same as normal game (don't think you can set a timer in practice for shots but hopefully powerball timer can be done).

I would also quite like to be able to practice any game type in any room, as obviously I prefer to practice carom while I wait. Not sure if this is possible though. If it was then it wouldn't hurt!

good shout. id just practice carom as that is the only while you wait mode with any point atm
