I would like to see a thread on the forum for over 18's only.
or even threads for age groups
to be able to go on the threads a passport or driving licence could be sent to admin or a moderator to view it to let you be able to go on the thread itself.
This would give the adults on the site somewhere to go to talk about anything they like and keep things that children and the younger generation shouldn't see on the site.
Feedback please? surely this is not a hard task to be set up.

I wouldn't send my passport to any of the moderators. How can you entrust someone you have never met with such an important document?
It would just be a case of putting in your date of birth. If you lie about your age then you can't complain about bad language or explicit content really because you shouldn't be on the thread.
It's a good idea but I'm not sure it is really needed. There is a nicer community feel about the forums because there is no profanity and debate is encouraged rather than slinging mud at each other.

yeah true, if you REALLY want a forum for over 18s you can create one yourself using freeforums.org you then have control of the forum and can do what you like.

No way it could happen.
I am 22 yeah, but if I weren't I could easy send my dads driving licence/ passport and no one would know.
Plus why would you need a over 18's forum you have offline messaging and private messaging with friends for such things. If they really are friends thy would not send complaint so it's cool.
