Many a post has been made by dgen about the wonderous shots and breaks hes made by using his super drag shot. One example of which would be :-
dgen has spent hours in the past demonstrating this phenomena to several individuals including myself. With most failing to understand how, what or why dragging the blue marker around the white ball would impact on a shot.
Thankfully thanks to an in depth discussion with his lord and creator I can confirm that drag spin is not just a figment of dgens wacky mind..
It turns out that it was implemented a few months ago with the cue shadow on the table cloth. The concept is that the dragging the spin selection raises the cue butt... Eventually the shadow will move to simulate the height of the cue butt, but for initial testing and implementation it remains unchanged.
In effect raising the butt of the cue and applying deep screw creates an ultra screw back shot as dgen is taking great pleasure in demonstrating...
Happy drag spinning lads... I'm pulling off some amazing results.
shocked myself tbh in practice i thought i would practice dragging backspin before applying the spin to score the points, this slowed the white down which meant less dk's

nice to see this confirmed finally, yep i tried in practice once and its amazing the number of spin combinations you can get, before this was confirmed i was the only one who could do it and i tried to explain it to several people but its hard to explain in detail.
generally dragging spin has more of an effect than clicking (for me anyway) for example if you drag spin backspin 3 or 4 times the white should be slower than when you clicked it.
this is probably the easiest explanation i can think of, on spin hold mouse button in, drag to backspin, drag back to middle (you can do this many times as you like) then apply your normal spin (need to have button held in entire time until after normal spin is applied). for accurate spin you can use the arrow keys since that uses pixels for example if you want to hold white press down arrow once and don't hit it too hard.
^ to do that make sure your not in chat or it won't work

Hows the chat window affect it?

Yeah I imagine the chat would mess with it. Can't control it then.

Of course I do. It's brilliant. Opens up so many more angles and shots now.
