Plenty or 3 and 4 runs in the first few frames but then slowly went downhill with us only hitting 1s and 2s. I hit a 7 run in the last frame to go 9-4 up and davey missed a very unlucky shot to end the frame 9-7.

Yeah I watched it. Fairly entertaining. Without the start of that comeback, I would've stopped watching midway through the third quarter though.

I think the blackout helped the 49ers get some momentum and got a great comeback but they were just unfortunate at the end. I like watching the NFL but jesus its difficult to understand. Baseball is much easier to understand.

lol mate. you always get 4 tries to go 10 yards down the field. So 2nd and 3 means it's your 2nd try and you need to move 3 more yards down the field.
If you make it, you get 4 more tries to go 10 yards further. If you fail within the 4 tries, the other team gets the ball.

yes. once you're past the 10 yards, you always get "a fresh set of downs" to go 10 further.
That's the simplest explanation. Of course there are side rules. Certain penalties give a team an automatic first down and so on.
