Just noticed that for a while there seems to be a lack of "visible mods" online..can't remember the last time I found one online..not wanting to cause confrontation but are some just neglecting the site?

Just a hunch but I would guess a lot of us are having to do a lot of preparation for Christmas .

you should know adam, mods have to be here to maintain the site, they aren't allowed time off!!!

but i generally see a few mods at night (adam, baff, bud mostly), its the admins i ask the question too

It's not good enough at night though...When nobody much is on. If issues happen they will be in the day and mods should be there to deal with them...

This is why they should of accepted me

Most issues are in the evening around 5-9. During the day most people are at school/college/work, only during the school holidays that people are on during the day and those mods who work don't get school holidays. The people who get school holidays are either students (so won't be awake during the day) or too young to apply.

Sorry that people can't skive work to be on more!

i think he means hes sent the application in but not been checked yet. In the help centre it says 6 weeks however i have had to wait 3 or 4 months on numerous occasions if it gets too long message an admin thats what i did a while ago.

but its christmas this time so i would wait until mid January since admin tend to be busy this time of year

Isn't it ironic that the one of the biggest issues on this site are the people that run it?

Adam_147 is the best moderator FS has had in a long time. As for every other moderator on here.... You should either take a leaf out of Adam's book, or step down from your moderator position like any decent, ordinary person that really cared about this site would do.

Oh, and if your life is "too busy" to moderate this forum, then why the hell did you apply to moderate it in the first place?? If you're not going to give 100% then you might as well give 0%.

Oh, and that goes for the Admins too. I'm not even sure why there are 8 Admins on this site when only 2 or 3 of them actually do anything. It's just laughable.

Thanks jack, but i have to disagree, there are many good mods on here, its just unfortunate for many that personal circumstances are taking up a lot of their time at the moment. As for admins I think there might be an argument now for an extra admin for snooker as recent appointments seem to be pool based. I can't claim to have any idea what they have planned though!

At the moment?? People have been complaining about the mods for the past year or 2 now. This isn't a sudden "oh no the mods are inactive" type thing. If they aren't consistent, then they aren't good mods. That's just how it is I'm afraid.

To be honest I don't know what it was like before, I've only been modding for 2 years and only been on the site 3 years.

Well without trying to blow my own trumpet, I managed to moderate a forum with 10,000 active members all by myself whilst still going to college full time and keeping my social life intact.

This forum has about 20,000 members with 18 members of staff to manage it. So using stuff in their personal life as an excuse for inactivity is just an absolute joke I'm sorry. That just says to me that they're lazy and can't really be bothered to moderate. I bet the majority of staff here only applied for their position so that they felt like they were more important that regular members. I've seen the same thing happen over and over on a ton of websites and it never ends well.

Well obviously I know some of the circumstances and they are fair enough reasons to take a break, for instance i know both begger and bud have had trouble with their ISPs, their isn't much you can do there to be honest.
