Hi All,

Recently more and more, I have seen countless people deliberately foul on the lag in Carom as they do not like breaking on yellow or because they see breaking as a disadvantage, I think something needs to be implemented in for this, just like a foul in any other game.

I personally believe any foul lag should dock a point, and you start the game with the other person breaking and on -1. Let me know if you agree,

i don't think it would make much difference. some users might have 'lag' or in my case normally 'reverse lag'. Plus many players can hit 5+ frequently.

I think more should be done about the lag fuzzy mentioned about destinys perfect lag which according to fuzzy is illegal in real life.

As far as I know in real life the winner of the lag can choose to break or not, so having this option would be better. Then it would be preferred to win the lag so you could choose to receive, and foul lagging would show your opponent that you don't want to break so they could put you in to break.

for other types you could have a 'random' coin toss and whoever wins gets to choose who breaks, would benefit me in Arcade as i would break 2nd, unless frames are even.

for Carom i like the opponent to break too as it puts pressure on me to get to 5 first, if i don't i lose the frame. When going second if you get to 5 first you win the frame, if they get to 5, you get a second chance at redemption

Its definitely more of an advantage to be second in carom. For the reason dgen mentioned. Its in your hands, due to having that chance to equal the 5 target score or even win it soon as you hit 5.

Saying that, I wouldn't foul lag on purpose just to be second. The option to put the opponent into break would be good though.
