Change double disqualification into 'the player who is ahead in 1 games or otherwise 2 points will always go trough to the next round.
Some will say its not fair but once you adapt your game to this rule I think it's alot fairer, obviously people will try to win time but at least everyone will play to win the game and not not to lose it and at least you will have one winner not two losers.
It doesn't look difficult to program to me either.

Then you can just get in, make a 20-30 break and tap around the reds while taking the full 20 seconds for your shots, all the while watching the time limit draw ever closer.

That is exactly what I was saying...Everybody knows that would be the consequence. However the question is what do you think is worse, this or the possibility of a double disqualification. Personally I would rather see one winner than two losers.
By the way, you're talking about a 20 second game but with the time limits in 20 second games there's not much of a chance to tap your way to victory as there would be too much game time for it.

Here is what i would like to see.
If the time limit ends both players will be disqualified unless one player is in the 'snookers required' stage. The player leading would then go through.
If the game can find a winner (e.g. dgeneratio is 35 ahead with 35 remaining) then a double disqualification will take place as the other player could win the game.

Not a bad idea, I think it's better than what we currently have.
