We also have introduced the Clan League into this and the subjects are:

Top 3 Clan Player of the Season
Top 3 Clan Most Improved
Top 3 Clan Newcomer
Top 3 Clan Captains

Those not listed in the Panel should write their lists on the thread so either myself or Seb can update them.

I've watched this Xmas awards for years ,don't mean to be negative but let's be honest ,it's mates voting for mates ,if your not in a clan ,or don't speak much during games ,your out, ,say what you want ,but when the awards are given out ,I'll lay odds they are in a clan ,friends, or play together regular ,that's how it's been since the start of this topic ,no player that's not well known has ever won any award just my opinion

But all the good people are in clans. only a few decent players who aren't.

what a stupid thing to say ,what u really mean is join a clan make freinds and u might win an award

ur right mate join a clan lose alot talk nicely and you might win.the awards will be the same as every year ,mates voting for mates ,its never changed ,suck up and wow ive won

Because most good players are in clans. There is no other occasion on funky where you can consistently play against other good players in "pressure" situations (if such a thing exists here).

its true but clan leagues is the only real novelty round here so can't be helped really.

This system worked last year as more that voted, the accurate the result. And the Panel and Public votes was roughly the same which is what i intended

It's not that there are good players who aren't in clans, just the most majority of the good players tend to join them. Can't help that.

yes its exactley that, mates from clans ,voting for other mates ,what about the novice player who has gone from novice to adept,massive improvement,but not seen by any,the adept whos worked hard to get to pro ,if he aint joined a clan he wont win any award,tell me im wrong,

You are partially correct in what you say ..unfortunately that is the nature of the beast.
If you aren't involved in a clan and don't appear in the rankings or in high breaks lists constantly, or win tournaments , you won't be noticed.

Although I can think of a couple who have made a mark without being in clans..bomjaza and sporadic .

sporadic has amazing stats although a little weird(1000 wins in orig only 45 losses....maybe he only plays low rankers or guests) ...although you can't deny max breaks.

And bomjaza...people like to have a pop at him because he is tournament beast , but he is still a very, very good player...and he can't help the time difference.

If you are any good and play regularly why not join a clan anyway and get noticed..then you can enjoy some good games with a little pressure.

Amazing how some good players can't play as well under a little pressure..
