Hey all!

Only a game but its very frustrating when you have people on here like (removed players name)

So im 20 or so pints up with 2 reds on and i snooker him behind yellow..he then does not respond for 88 seconds.

He then taps the white back behind the yellow..so i pass back..88 seconds later he taps it behind yellow again.

and so on so on until its dq..i message him to ask him why he puts me on ignore.

A blatant way to make sure we both get DQ.

Any way we can have say 1 not responding per game in tourney or they automatically lose?

Just an idea as its quite annoying

Anyone that finds themselves in the position they have to switch on/off firewalls to stop connection/responding should do the decent thing and leave the game, as they clearly don't cut it on many fronts. It's called being a sportsman.

He has done it many times to me, normally in micro's as easy to get the dbl DQ..normally laughs about it, but many reporting and nothing happens so here we are..hopefully one of the admins will figure something out!

Next time in any game and you suspect someone is playing like this, see if a mod is on-line and invite them to the game. They can sit and although cannot see, can watch the pattern of responding/not responding and can see any chat too. They 'may' be able to make an assessment of the situation and ask the player to leave.

I have just downloaded a desktop recorder so my screen is recorded at all times so i can post videos of it.

Ball in hand with a free place anywhere after a foul would sort this out and also stop the tapping out of snookers cheating.

Can be easily set up as its used in Pool games.

Impossible to have a miss rule on here so this would make sure everyone attempts to get out of snookers

theres no ball in hand in snooker though mate, you just get 4+ points and the option to take your shot, opponent plays where it finished or you replace it for the opponent.

in the clan league you would more than likely get a warning for it followed by suspensions

There's no ball in hand after a foul in real snooker of course but there is a miss rule in real snooker to stop cheating and theres no miss rule on here and tapping out of snookers is cheating.

A free place after a foul would stop this cheating and be a simple replacement for the miss rule that's impossible to do on here

I was in the same situation a few days ago in an important match.The guy was obviously better than me. However having put him in a good snooker he just pushes out. I called him on it but he just refused to admit he had done it. I let him have the match. My view is if they want to win that bad then just take it on. Cant abide cheats. Also when they have proffesional status you wonder to what lengths they are prepared to go to keep it. Hes done it before to me and im sure he'll do it again.

About time funky got into the real world and allowed naming and shaming.... maybe their names in lights would stop some of this... or at least warns others!

Personal gripe from me are the fakes on here, who are not as they say.... I don't mean fake newbies, I mean those who pretend to be someone totally different. Creepy really!

For the Clan League we use http://www.freeforums.org then all Admin can do is remove the link but if people know the address then they can view it.

I used to use Pastebin for parts of my about me then i could have unlimited words.

If you do this though then make sure they have broken a rule otherwise arguments will begin.

You sure? A higher-ranked player has more rank to lose from a game- might be an incentive for some to make sure they don't lose...

im only talking about my experience and even though i think you have a point. someone who has most points during the game, tends not to waste time. In my oppinion.

I agree with you...but if the rule would be changed into the player with the most points wins...isn't that exactly what the player with the most points would do? All he has to do is waste time to win the game.
I used to think of this like you do now, but with the current DQ-DQ rule a player can be wrongfully punished but nobody will get wrongfully rewarded (apart from not losing ranking points), if the player with the most points would win then there could be one player wrongfully punished and the other wrongfully rewarded.

On another note I agree with stormforce...pretending to be someone, or even multiple people, you're not on here takes cheating to a whole new level.
