Why?! This is a great subject! Just what the forums are for..

No spinner i meant as in lower number of wins losses etc.

If you only started playing and you had played 5 games and abandoned all of them, (being 100% duh) That isn't bad but the percentage is sky high, that's what i was trying to get across.

But thats what shows the user's trend, the percentage of games they leave rather than the actual number.

If someone's only left 700 games out of 100000 thats amazingly good!!

perhaps it should be when you are out of the newbie status with more than 10% of abandoned games

Fact is that at the moment it means nothing, since there is no other way to concede the game.

I think the issue is only really relevent if you ARE on a big break, otherwise what does it matter? you still win, you still get the points and what's more you can't judge the player because they could've left for a legitimate reason.

If you know the player has left deliberately, for example you pm them and ask them why they left (dependant if they are still online) and they say something incriminating use the 'contact us' to send a complaint (though this is pretty unlikely), maybe there could be a new feature where if a player is on a break of over 30, the other player can't leave until the break is over?

Or maybe there should be investigations into all players known to have over a 10% abandoned games quota carried out by the moderators?

Well the mod/admins can be discluded anyway.
As far as your other reason, internet problems or connection problems and deliberate leaving can be seperated by the fact that if they WERE having problems they wouldn't still be online.
All the cases of people leaving games should be made accessible to mods (if they're not already)and then they can evaluate them and see if a suitable course of action should be taken.

NOTE: the above idea should only be considerated if there is a unanimous vote that something needs to be done. But in my own opinion, things should just be left as they are.

Well being locked in the room, apart from moderators and admin, isn't so bad.

Spinner mentioned that a concede game button should be stuck in rather than people just leaving during high breaks.

EDIT: read Nicks post:

lol please..... the reason people leave on high breaks is because they want to upset their opponent... Like they are going to hit a concede button!!!

The whole reason they leave is because they're wanting to get one over on their opponent, they wont stop and hit the concede button!!!!!!

waste of time!

Well having the option will weed out those who abuse the situation and who should be dealt with in due course.

1angel1 - mods/admin do investigate those with high leave percentages - have a little search through the forum ifyou dont wanna take my word for it
