This only applies to short timed games.

Your opponent pots the white, by the time you've checked your options and placed the ball you're down to 0 seconds and its a random shot.

How about a second shot timer (the same as the game shot time) to give you a little more time to weigh up your options?

It is meant to be tour advantage after all.

If you need more time, why not just play games with longer time limits?

I always play 10 second games and constantly get people complaining its not long enough

i think this link is what you're talking about and yeah a great idea becuase sometimes you just need to have extra time on 1 shot when the phone rings/need another beer

Yeah, great idea mate. For example just before the shot timer run out you can call an "extension". Just like in some real pool and snooker tournaments.

i think this was a good idea, but at the same time i think we can do without it for awhile, for now, the quicker games are usually for people who either can think ahead very quickly or don't bother to at all. nice idea though

i think its a good idea because alot of the time of the laptop i use when i clik on the game the options like shot limit owner etc dissapear not all the time but most of the time

Like Spinner said, why not just make the games time limit longer? And check to see what the time limit is when you're joining.

LOL dont be silly. I've only ever played 10 second games and never had a problem.

Pick shot = 2secs (thats not really necessary though, since you have all the time it takes for the potted ball foul msg etc to come up..)
place ball = 1sec
take shot = 2secs (allowing time to pick english)

That leaves 5 secs to spare!
