its not that bad on arcacde, but can be a but dificult when it come to re placing the white! but the big table no can do!

Brighteyes, i think you're missing the point of my ranting.

This thread is about adding time to 10 second games. Which is very unfair on those of us (and there are plenty more than me, if there wern't, how would i get a game!) who play these games.

If you want more time, why not play a 20 second or more game and leave the time limit alone.

Spinner it seems it's only you that plays the 10 second games.

This is never enough time to take a shot, and by that i mean a proper one!

Well how come i manage to easily get a game either by joining one or creating.

I'm playing one just now. So obviously there are more than me who play!

As i've already said on the other thread. I prefer tactical games, which is why i prefer the quick turn around of play.

10 seconds is ample to play and post on the forum. remember you have plenty of time while your opponent plays to chat etc and plan your shots.

Why remove the option for those of us who enjoy the fun of the time limit?

I'm quite happy for the people who play 180 sec games. Each to thier own!

oh no spinner, i was not missing your point at all, trust me i'm used to your ranting. i understand you like playing 10 second games, and thats super for you, but sometime i think you need to cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it. you're being too close minded. the point of this suggestion by whoever this thread was started by, is not to get rid of the precious 10 second games. would it really bad that hard for you to sacrifice say 5 seconds so that they could impose a time limit for post-ball placement. its a suggestion, and every suggestion does not have to cater to you. just because you're the loudest, doesn't mean you're the most respected.

Its got nothing to do with respect etc, its about right and wrong.

How can it be fair to introduce something (yes, i know its a suggestion, thats why we're debating it) that gives some players an advantage over others?

And, the most important question yet unanswered - if you need more time, why play 10 second games atall?

Surely the easy way to get an extra 10 seconds is to play 20 second games!

how exactly does this give an advantage to some and not others. it sounds like it would be the same for all users. its not like there is extra time given to only the people the timer like.. *raises eyebrow*

the most important question i think not. i'm pretty sure you are the only one who has been on here fussing about playing 10 second games. i agree, if the person wants more time in a 10 second game, they prob don't belong there. but these people play average length games and are just making a request. i also do not see a point in constantly debating. this suggestion is not concrete, so stop trying to rip it to pieces.

I'm not worried about it in long games, but to have it in 10 second games gives an unfair advantage to those who "need" more time.

Have a look at the other thread "time bank". Top_spin and i played a couple of games. He is much better than me but i beat him decisively in a 10 second game, but with extra time, he thrashed me.

I'm not being difficult. I just cant see whats hard about realising that the way to have an extra 10 seconds in a 30 second game is just to play a 40 second game.

i don't really want to bother putting more effort in trying to understand you or make you understand us. we both know we had enough of that on pool.

the point is these people want a countdown for placing the ball, and then a short countdown to give them a second to actually move the cue and take the shot.

i'm not saying you're wrong, or your opinion is bad, but the way you present yourself makes many people want to clobber you with a handbag (even the men).

and to whoever posted above me, i'm not yelling at spinner, and i like 10 second games just fine...

this aint about 10 second games its about extra time on the white after a foul in 10 second games

1. I know i never said i wanted it to be removed, and sorry, i just assumed that you disliked the people that play 3 minute time limit games since the time limit you play is minimum.
