Any random option would work, and would be in line with standard rules, but would always be contested here.
Something skill based would be better, and lagg would be a great option. It is already in the "coming soon's" for US pool, so when its working well there it could be introduced here in this scenario.
I would imagine it would be used as the break decider here too.

this "lag" idea does seem in my eyes to be the fairest way of sorting this, as it is down to skill who gets the ball closer to the cushion.

I agree thier should b a random soulution, or a Lag contest, but at the minute u know your opponent will be given the shot so you can always play for a snooker

a lag is the only way to stop it being unfair because even random is unfair i think. although lags are used in pool not snooker it is after all funkysnooker so i think it should be used

i think if there is a respotted black have a laggin comp off the bottom cushion and closest to the top cushion gets to pick whether to take the respotted black or pass it to opponent???

already said that sam i think it should definately be put in place!
maybe have a lag?, thats how they decide who is going to break on american style pool, basically what it is for those who dont know, its where there is two white balls placed either side off the D, and you have to hit in to the other end of the table and back towards the D, the person who is closest to the cushion near the D wins, but you CANNOT touch the cushion if you do the other player will get first shot at black.
this may or may not work or be able to be coded i dont know, but to me this seems the simplest at fairest way to decide who gets first shot at the black.
please let me now what you think, and hopefully they are all good

And Nomercy, try to keep away from saying the same thing over and over (Pleading people to sign). It's good to see your enthusiasm, but it's against the forum rules to spam, and I'm pretty sure that's what you're getting close (If not getting cloes, then you are doing it) to.

yes i was playing batty_ginge yesterday in the semi final and it was 1-1 he got a gd brake so i needed a snooker i ended up gettin that snooker clearing up and then he pot respot gutterd lol

Lag shot on re-spotted black is fairest way to go, can't wait for 'miss' rule and nominated colours too, that'll sort the men out from the boys!
