how annoying is it when people say gg wp when there is 8-9 reds left on the table it really puts me off does any 1 else agree?? an does any 1 think that gg wp should be banned like swear words like stars if u get me

This is possibly the most annoying thing that a player can do when you are trying to clear up. I find it puts so much more pressure on the simpliest of shots that it is enevitable that you miss.

Members who do this before the other player has potted enough to win should be rounded up and given a lesson in the etiquitte of playing snooker.

i did it to somebody who was 10 points ahead if i potted the remaining balls then he managed miss an easy shot and fouled on the black and in doing so snookering himself and he blamed me for saying wp m8. The game was genuinely over until he did that and he still won! I dont think i was cheating i thought the game was genuinely over. If others disagree then sorry. Also can u get a mod to enter a game if your opponent is deliberately letting his timer count out on every shot? cos i get this alot and then they always leave on the black after about a 30 minute game also isnt 90 seconds too long for a shot timer?

I often say gg or wp during a game, especially after a good series of safety play. You have to remember what they are abbreviations for.

Both are compliments. They dont specifically have to be at the end of a game.

As mentioned many times, if it really bothers you, you can easily move the window down to hide the chat box, or ignore the player.

(as for the 90 seconds thing - recent thread on pool covers it well. If you dont like 90 second games, dont play them. The shot time is clearly displayed with the game type etc before you enter so there is no excuse.)

it may be annoying but u cant blacok out the letters as there is genuine people who say it afterthe game so really it souldnt be banned

Just as there's a button to expand the chat box, there should be a button to hide the chat box so you can't see what they are saying while its your turn

im guessing that they don't! You are simply blaming your opponent for losing the game, get a grip please! your only looking for an excuse for the reason you lost... simple as, it doesnt put you off.

if you lose, you lose deal with it! its a game! lol im guessing that if people talk to you during the game that puts you off aswell even though your having a good old chin wag with your opponent!

Cmon lads forget about the finger pointing. Its bad sportmanship but it aint against the rules so there is very little you can do about.

Maybe if a person does it to you then if there was an option to blacklist opponents (much the same way where you can add friends) so when you enter a game with a player on your blacklist then you get a notification and leave. The opponent wouldnt know he/she is on your blacklist. Of course this could be used beyond the "gg wp" scenario.

Just a fleeting though.
