it's time to Change the rules about being able to set up a table then not playing if someone with less points then you comes to play, if your that good play them stop trying to keep your points to make you look good.If you refuse to play it should count as a win to the other player

Eh? If someone doesn't want to play a lower player they lose? Totally disagree sorry mate, most people don't play lower players as they want to get something out of it if they win.

Sorry mate but completely disagree. Like i've said before, there are a couple reasons why people don't play lower ranked players;
1) Get little points if they win so they don't move up the rankings.
2) To play a higher rank player to get more points.
3) More of a challege playing high ranked players.
It's not that people are scared of losing, they just want to get the points asap.

Centurions, what would be the point of me playing someone with a rank of around 700 when my rank is in the 900's?, the most points i could possibly get for winning againt someone with a rank of 650 for example would be about 1.It just doesnt justify me playing someone like that, and i think many of the funkysnooker regulars will agree. The only time i would play someone with a rank like that would be for practice lol.

so if you enter a tournament and get drawn against someone with less points you think they should not play you, It's like the FA cup top teams not playing lower league teams just cause they might beat you

well i play everyone, but then again i don't get the same sense of achievement from beating lower ranked players, as that of which i do beating the ste_efc's of this world!

Games used to start automatically, and the break button was put in place to give people the choice. However, this does affect the flow of the game.
A possible option would be to be able to chose an auto-start room type. Meaning people who just want to get on and play don't have to be held up by the picky players.

yes but then i think you would need the players rank in the room description...
12:09 Tue 4 Mar 08 (GMT) [Link]
Nope.
For quick start games you wouldnt want that, or you would get people being picky and thus defeating the point.
As i understand it, this idea is looking to get back the fun of the game where you log in, click a room and start playing, no matter who is in there, thus meeting new people and playing a range of levels and styles, letting the rank adjustment system deal with evening things out in that area.
Edit - the more i think about it, the more i like this idea. I think it would go quite some way to encourage new users who can be put off by people not wanting to play them.

If you play original, then it does take a while mate.
13:30 Tue 4 Mar 08 (GMT) [Link]
Its not a matter of the time to press the rack button, its about starting the game as soon as the second player enters the room.
After all, they player in the room must want to play, or they wouldn't be there, and the player joining the room must want to play or they wouldnt join.
Why should either be forced to wait just because some users want to pick and choose opponents?
