I didnt care too much for the Rumble match this year. Very lacklustre and predictable booking. Even if its just a bit of light relief, I like a few surprises and storylines in a rumble.
Santino's spot was good, as was the Rhodes/Goldust segment, but the real potential was to ignite HHH/Orton given the storyline with Steph/Vince. they teased it, but didnt run with it.
The WWE Title match was definitely match of the night, and a real joy to enjoy a proper swerve after what seems like years! Even when Matt called for the conchairto I was thinking "can the possibly telegraph a Christian run-in any more.."
So many excellent options open now, though I can see an Edge/HHH/Koslov wrestlemania match brewing, though Edge/Christian would be much more fun.
Looks like we're gonna see Taker/Show yet again at WM. Noting wrong with their matches, but Taker/Koslov would be much more entertaining and the added twist of Koslovs streak (assuming its still intact) vs Takers WM record.
Really enjoyed Hardy/Swagger too, and the womens match was also surprisingly good, easily Melina's best match to date.
It'll be fun to see how things go tonight on RAW. The JBL/Micheals angle is good fun and should go up a notch again, obviously more Legacy vs McMahons, and maybe the seeds of the Jericho/Rourke angle too.

Joe has hung up his gloves. Great news, knowing when to go is a key skill in boxing.

I agree. I'm glad he retired. I didn't think he would, i thought he might go after Rocky Marciano's record of 49 unbeaten professional fights.
Although it's sad to see a great hang up his gloves, i fear had he continued and got beat, it may have damaged his reputation as one of, if not the best British boxer of all time

Amazing lack of security, I suspect that company won't be having any more bookings from WWE for a while.
Video of the incident is on youtube, but won't be posted here due to the obviously colorful language!
http://www.rajah.com has up to date links and info.
Looking forward to the PPV tonight, largely to see what part Joe is going to have in things now he's healthy again.

Victoria has always had a bad string of luck regarding incidents with wrestlers. In 2005 a fan jumped the rail and tried to attack triple H after the main event, and in 2007 a couple fans nearly got into a fistfight with Jimmy Korderas and Tony Chimmel at ringside. WWE usually comes here every 2 years to this town, but I'm guessing this incident will get reported to WWE HQ and subsequently the wait will be even longer
Lol they're sickos :L

Yep, it was another excellent showing for ECW last night. Its been my favourite show for the past few weeks since Swagger got involved/got the belt.
Looking like Swagger/Christian at WM. Excellent as that would be, I'd rather see an old fashioned ECW 3 way dance with Finlay involved too.

Some excellent build up going on this weekend.
Looks certain now that we're headin for Orton/HHH at Wrestlemania. I expect Shane will be destroyed by Legacy on sunday night, whether HHH makes a save then, or it waits 'till monday, time will tell.
Also, Sheamus O'Shaunessy to ECW! At last!

christian will not be winning the ECW title at wrestlemania because the draft is on april 14th and he will be drafted to either raw or smackdown... he was only put on ECW temp because of the way he left wwe for tna and vince wanted him to suffer a little bit

Looking like an interesting night right enough, quality first elimination
Champs have been drafted almost every time, thats what makes the draft so much fun. I can't see them burying Swagger though. It makes a lot of sense to put Christian on ECW following the leaks and re-work of the att Hardy angle.

NO WAY
Agreed. If Goldberg had had even an ounce of talent, maybe Bret would still be active today...
I'll be lazy now and just quote myself from the pool thread!
Agreed!
And up until last night, the kind of PPV standard WWE hasn't reached for too long.
I was very impressed last night. I beg to differ on the HHH thing, its a sensible, logical angle progression, so was admittedly a bit obvious, but Taker and HHH put on a textbook final 10 minutes that did have you guessing.
Orton/HHH is the perfect WM headliner. And what an event it looks like being! Here's my guess, why dont you all have a go before RAW starts!
Orton vs HHH for the WWE title (effectively Legacy vs McMahons)
Edge vs Cena - World Title
Hardy vs Hardy - probably a ladder/TLC match
Swagger vs Christian - ECW Title (though I'd love to see Finlay in there too in a traditional rules 3 way dance)
Jericho vs HBK, and given what they've done so far, it cant but be great!
And my personal dream match - Taker vs Kozlov - Streak vs Streak.
Probably also Pheonix vs Melina, but I'm hoping for the womens belt to change hands before then, and have Mickie (W/Trish) challenge.
Punk vs Regal - IC Title - 2 out of 3 falls
Plus Priceless need to destroy someone for the tag belts! Either Championship team would be good, but how about a unification 3 way elimination?
However, a great resurgence in quality whatever happens, and that didnt even mention the MITB match!
Can't believe Flair signed with ROH this week though! Still, good payday for Piper!

Also; TNA Unbreakable 2005; AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels, possibly best match ever.
Agreed!
