Odd "road to wrestlemania" this year, crossing the predictable with the "what?" quite often.
I really don't get the pairing of Taker and HBK. Sure it will be a good match, but nothing we haven't seen many times before and nothing compared to what Taker/Kozlov would have been.
I can only think HBK is banged up more than usual and needs an easy ride before his annual leave phase..
Orton/HHH is moving along nicely, so long as you ignore anything not happening in the ring!
I really, really hope Hogan is going to face Jericho and not Cena. Not only does it make so much more sense in Y2J's storyline, but he would have by far the better match.
Fingers crossed we get an Edge/Show/Cena 3 way so Show and Edge can tear the house down before the ultra-predictable Attitude Adjuster on Show (always impressive as it is!) to give Cena the belt.
However - thats the obvious. We also have Flair's recent "official" statement that if HBK said go for it, he would, and this is Y2J who had the feud of 2008 with HBK, so the storyline is solid.
And also - if JBL's "historic" moment is to mean anything, it won't work if Hogan isnt involved..
On another note - why did they release the Boogeyman! I thought he was one of the most marketable characters they had and all set to fill Kane/Taker's shoes in years to come. Crazy. (lets not forget the guy can really wrestle too, behind all the gimmickrey)

Wrestling may not be real but you go and attemp some of the stuff these guys do, lol, throwing yourself of a 12 foot ladder is no mean feat let alone having to trust sumone to throw you correctly. Dangerous stuff.
Anyway id like to go back to the thoughts of spinner, i am in agreement that HBK was a dissapointment beating Kozlov, i cant understand why they made a big deal of his unbeaten run to end it on a house show. If HBK goes and beats Taker i will be gutted, not that i dont like HBK its just a shame to end Takers run this way.
Im loving the HHH / Orton storyline i do think Orton will win, due to his current run with the rumble etc, if the WWE has any sense they will let HHH break his legs and proove himself as the ultimate superstar, would be nice to see a twist that brings Batista back but i understand he is still injured tho!!
The money in the bank match is lining up rather interstingly so far kane / cm punk / m.henry that i can remember, i wonder if kozlov will muscle in on this.
Cena has to win the title and the triple threat with edge / show i would say must be a guarentee as spinner said above the attitude adjuster on show is the perfect finale!!

I thought the boogeyman was ridiculous lol, he annoyed adults and freaked out the kids, any wrestling ability he had was hidden to the average part time watcher like myself

i think its a shame that the boogeyman has been released, he had the freakiest eyes ever, lol, he was a good wrestler and his attire was wicked,
i personally think had he had a better name he would of lasted longer, the boogeyman sounds too cheesy in my opinion

The thing with the Boogeyman is that it worked well as a dark and sadistic character, I guess he's just a victim of the PG route WWE are now taking.
As for wrestling ability, yes, it want very noticable, but then do you see much from Taker or Kane in 3 minute TV matches?
Boogeyman never got a 30 minute PPV match against anyone decent, if he had, you would have noticed. I suspect he will be snapped up by TNA pretty soon and we might see more there.
Another thing worth remembering is that he owns his whole character and look, so WWE couldnt make much money off him, and of they pushed him hard he could leave and take it all elsewhere.
In this day and age, thats pretty rare.
I see its Sunny Days again come WM!
MITB looks interesting this year. Normally its the realm of the high flyers etc. Mark Henry climbing a ladder? I think it will be the bump-fest of the night!
I'm really lost as to where the Jericho angle is headed. Thats Hogan just been in for back surgery (and his recently reported comments were apparently false) so he's out.
It might be Rourke after all!
Interesting angle they had for JBL, and definitely good for the IC title, but I wonder if they will still go with it after this weeks script leaks..

I get most WWE DVD releases, but i think this one deserves a mention : http://www.amazon.com/WWE-Best-Saturday-Nights-Event/dp/B001KKU9EG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1236469426&sr=8-1
I especially enjoyed the older stuff. It's all to easy to forget how quick an agile the likes of Piper and Hogan were at one time.
Also good for ilustrating my comparison of Boogeyman to early Undertaker.
The general feel is that there will be many false storylines leaked to the dirt sheets ove the next couple of weeks to keep WM25 surprises half-hidden.
Not hidden however is the 3-way title match between Edge, Cena and Big Show. Show himself confirmed it earlier today on VH1.

Look, spinner clear something up for me is Umaga Rikishi!? At first I thought no, too skinny(as hard as that is to say) but on closer inspection I'm undecided!
05:22 Sun 8 Mar 09 (GMT) [Link]
Nope, but they are brothers. Rikishi (now wrestling for the NWE in Italy) is Solofa Fatu, Eddie Fatu is who wrestles as Umaga.
They are members of the Anoa'i wrestling family, cousins of the Rock, Yokozuna etc.

Nice 1 spinner i was wondering who Umaga was when watching Smackdown.
Who do we think will be the remaining contestants in the MITB match, and more importantly who do you think will win it??

Well thats all 8 MITB participants confirmed, and Christian's gotta be the favourite.
Was a good RAW. Nice to see them scrap the scripted angle and go for a straight win for JBL. The only thing that bugged me was the awful telegraphing of the final segment.
It would have made no difference to have had Ortons actual wife in the segment, unless of course they plan to use her again over time, but all it did was immediately set-up an obvious low-grade rip-off of the Pillman/Austin angle.
Shame.
Can;t see Flair wrestling on RAW, however, remember his promo saying he would only do it if HBK said it was ok?
I suspect HBK will give him the OK to go for it at WM..
But back to RAW - what an opening promo! THAT was a classy, and classic, moment.

Just watched TNA for the first time. I must say it didnt nearly live up to the hype i've heard.
Its like a WWE retirement home. And even the TNA origanals are just based on WWE characters.
Like the guy called Abyss is just clearly meant to be Mankind.

You've started watching at the worst possible time
In 2005-2006 TNA was light years ahead of WWE. Over the past year or so, despite their ratings rising steadily and landing more TV time, the quality of TNA TV has slipped immensely.
The PPV's are still mostly good, simply because they are more wrestling based.
RIP Andrew Martin (Test/The Punisher) who was found dead yesterday. Always a pro-steroids campaigner, ironic and telling that he died only 33 years old..

Cant belive Test died. It's quite scary how many wrestlers die young.
Yeah it was a PPV I think. Its had The Abyss vs The Blueprint (?) and Booker T against some guy dressed as a referee. Was on bravo this morning.

Its not suprising really, whats scary is that more measures aren't put in place to prevent stuff like this.
Am guessing it was drugs related?

No official results as yet but one would expect so given his history.
WWE has a very strict policy regarding drug testing (hence so many firings recently - and lets not forget Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy, among others, are on their final strike - one more failed test and they're gone)
TNA's policy is less strict, but even they wouldnt employ Test following his public support of steriods in wrestling.
If you don't know, his argument was that since pro wrestling isn't competitive, using steroids was no different to cosmetic surgery. Don't forget, these are legal drugs you can walk into a suppliment store and buy off the shelf.
