He was in no danger of being sacked I don't think, I think he was in danger of walking. If the new contract is signed then he will stay for quite some time. Time will tell if ths is good news for liverpool. He will be judged on if he can bring the title to liverpool, which I a sceptical about.

Everton 2-0 West Brom

Gotta say West Brom where the better team throughout the game and especially in the first half, they passed the ball brilliantly and if they actually had someone who could finish a ball they would have been 1 or 2 up but luckily for us cahill scored 10 minutes before half time all be it tottaly against the run of play. Our midfield suffered without Arteta and West Broms James Morrison was running things. Second half wasnt much better from our behalf but Saha killed the game with an superb finish. This turned out to be a very good 3 points for us with Arsenal drawing we are hot on their heels for 5th place. COYB!!!

Hull 1 - 2 Blackburn

I fear that could be it. The timiest amount of hope now rests with the Newcastle game on 14th March. Failure to win that...

Still, the result today has a massive bearing on survival. It looks increasingly unlikely Hull will stay up.

Gotta say Hull look to be on a slippery slope into the relegation zone, its a shame really after a good start to the season

Stoke 1-0 to villa currently, I dont think we will get anything away today becuase villa are doing well and they are on form so will be tough if we pull anything!

I think its between 5/6 teams who will go down!

Also we got Newcastle at home

I think if we can take a victory against all of these 5 teams then we might have a fighting chance to stay up, I just dont want it to come down to last game of the season with stoke playing Arsenal away not 1 to have hopes and dreams on!

It'll be a right shame to be fair if both Hull and Stoke get relegated, they've freshened a boring league up and brought something different to the table.

Stoke's fixtures look alright, Hull's aren't too bad with Newcastle having the toughest run in.

Imagine if Hull needed to win against Man United in the last game of the year with United wrapping the title up weeks before and therfore playing a weak team. It would be a great scenario to be honest.

Thats what hull are hopeing, I work with a hull fan hes season ticket holder for like 10 years etc and we were discussing our last games, if man utd need a point in their last game then theres no chance for you but i think they will wrap the league up and you will hopefully get the youngsters, but with us having Arsenal away last game I don't no what the outcome will be because no matter what they will need the points I just hope that the teams below stoke at the time loose so we don't have to have high hopes on the last day

Important point for you, I hope if Hull don't stay up, Stoke do. I'm getting sick of Hull poncing around, they need some fight and hard play back in their game like at the start of the season.

I'm still in shock to be totally honest, We snached a pont of them at stoke when we got a last minute wounder and won 3-2 and from 2-0 down get 1 goal in the 88th minute to get a draw!

The thing about hull is Personally I think they think when they are down they are out but no team is ever out, they pulled back against man utd liverpool but when it comes to the lower teams they seem to be playing with a lower attitude, hopefully they finish like they started
