Champions League: Prove your better than 19 other teams in your own country to qualify (English and Spanish leagues obviously have 20 teams each), then prove your better during the next season (consistency here people) than the best from all over Europe.

I know you didn't realise that it was tounge in cheek, but surely you should have seen who Everton have beaten to get there going by efc_4_eva's posts.

They drew with Liverpool at Anfield in the fourth round, beating them at home in the replay. Now Liverpool aren't a lower division team I'd expect Everton to beat.

They beat Villa 3-1 at home, at a time when Villa were doing very well. Again not a lower division team that you would completely expect Everton to beat, especially considring the way Villa were doing.

They beat Boro at home, another team from the top division, the easiest they had from the fourth round.

They then beat Man Utd in the semi final (That why you're playing it down? ), again, not a team in a lower division that you'd expect Everton to beat.



Actually, you prove you're better than 16 other teams, the top 4 get entered remember.

I'm not saying the FA Cup is the one that people would wan to win out the two, but you do need to get your thinking right before backing it up first
