Right In a thread that is slowly becoming one of the most talked about, Spinner made a very decent point. That being that there are various differing views on how it would look like. I therefore propose that we put opinions forward of how it should look, with respect to table size, ball size and pocket size.
Only then can we be in a stable situation in which we can take the next step in rallying to get it at least acknowledged as a possible game type for the future. So I welcome your thoughts.
Note: If you are against the idea of 15 red killer, don't say so on here, say that on the other thread, this is merely for a discussion on how 15 red arcade could look. (Spinner stay out for now )

I think that 15 ball arcade should be an exact middle ground between arcade and original, ball size, table size (length, height and width) and pocket size. This should mean that there is plentyful room for all the balls on the table, and make it still a challenge to make high breaks.
Thoughts on that?

I agree with that idea, it would make sure that its still a challenge to get high breaks if the table is mid size, meaning that more people would want to play to be able to get a maximum 147.

The pink ball isn't lined with the pockets. Normally it should be at the centre of the square formed by the 4 left pockets.
I think that's actually the biggest difficulty when drawing the table: making 15 balls fit between black and pink when these two have a fixed place.

I think it would still work as it is only a game tbh, dont get me wrong, if we can get it perfect that would be awesome, but im sure most wouldnt mind the table being slightly imperfect

We could make a trial table and make soall you can do is practice on it and get player's opinions and if it works then you could make a ranking system and a breaks board and match rooms etc.

Firstly it was a rough estimate and secondly this is called funkysnooker for a reason a few mm wont make too much difference i don't think. If it does then you'll have to do what you always say, practice on it!

I can't imagine a "more realistic" version of arcade (i.e. 15 balls arcade) being less realistic in any point than arcade itself. Or maybe I'm completely missing the point, and what you actually want is not a more realistic version of arcade, but an easier way to hit a 147 than original? In which case I understand nobody cares about the pink being at a weird place.

^^ Whats that got to do with thsi thread? Every post is nice and clear so far, if anything a good example of what a queries thread should be.
As for the layout - Blutch is right, it will have to be proportioned properly, if its not, all the angles that make snooker work get thrown out the window and one of the main aims of an intermediate table have been to bring a new snooker game to the site.
It's also vital that we bear in mind this table has to present an increase in "difficulty", in other words, it must require more skill to succeed on than the existing arcade table, otherwise it serves no purpose.
There were over 100000 arcade games played before a 107 was hit, and over 340000 before a 147 on original, therefore an intermediate table should have around 220000 games played before a maximum is hit. If its much less, then something is wrong.
