As an admin I expected a little more discretion over members past. Wasn't that staff info anyway?

I must have be mistaken
Calling somebody unpopular and a strange choice must have been kind words, especially on a congratulations thread for a new member of staff.
*slaps head*
For the record i will post on a thread if i see somebody taking a dig at people who have applied to give up their spare time (For free) to help a website run more smoothly, especially if the person putting in the subtle boot is in no place to do so.
I would also make the post regardless of my position on the site, simply because i don't stand back and watch people get slated.
EDIT: Please remember this is a thread to 'congratulate' a new member of staff. It's not a thread to pick holes in how and why they have been chosen.

Unkind though it may be, you have broken a key rule that was drummed into me from day one and I don't mean as a moderator either, I mean as a member, surely it can't be one rule for us, another rule for the hierachy? Or is this a "do what we say not as we do" site?
