You correcly posted your opinion, but i feel its vital to point out that being active on the forums is not a requirement when applying for a moderating position.

Neither is popularity. (if it were, i'd never have stood a chance!)

There are a lot of myths surrounding the moderating application and selection process, as this thread shows, so now may be a good time to dispell them;

The simple fact is that anyone who fits the criteria on the application page, and, as pool_life pointed out, has no record of rulebreaking, can be accepted.

Thats it, nothing more.

I didnt really use the forum that much to begin with, but ever since becoming a Mod I have used it alot more. I have posted on staff, sports ect. Most mods have posted thousands and I havent, but that will come I assure you.

Just one thing to say really, without us members you guys wont be staff so lay down on criticizing us, we sign an account on here and we are allowed are opinion so respect ours and we respect yours,

This thread is not a matter of opinion, it is merely congratulating a new member of staff. You either do, or you don't.

In no sense is this 'staff vs members', at the end of the day we are all members here playing the game, and the staff are here giving up some of their free time to help with the general day-to-day running... but still, also, enjoying the gaming aspect of the site.

As for the recent events and comments in this thread, I would urge users who wish to voice their opinions regarding the underlying issue here (not the congratulating of cjay89)...
