Okay il provide my usual alternative view. Yes sometimes this can happen, where a player is severely under-ranked for whatever reason, such as if they start on snooker then create another account, or play on pool for a few months, and then go back to an account.

A lot of players are under-ranked, which is why i always look at a players high break and other stats before i play them - actually i find killer percentage a good indicator. In general you can just play anyone and thats a good way to build rank, but if you are on a run and want to be sure not to play a good player under-ranked then check their stats

The positive spin to take from my previous comment (for there was one, pig- don't see the negative in people all the time ) is that the whole crux of the matter is that, as with any game, you were overconfident in the face of an apparently inferior opponent.

Just look at what happened, perhaps study the meaning of humility and modesty, and embrace them in your game. Some you win, some you lose! I've lost 10 (100% loss) tourny finals, but I'm not all over the forum making topics about it!

The best advice for both of you is to look at yourselves. Spider pig- don't expect life to hand you wins just because you have a higher rank; piece of pig- try to see the (albeit veiled) positive point in what people are saying, rather than focusing purely on your pessimistic misinterpretations.

i know exactly what you meant, you just said it in a rather unfriendly way. i think we all know spider-pig should not expect to win every game. I think even ragefire has lost to a 600 player (i know he has, it was me when i was 600s) so that is not the issue.

Anyone can lose to anyone on a day, ive lost to a 620 before on orig when i was close to my peak, all just part of the game, yes you do expect it to happen and are disappointed when you lose to someone that you should be beating but doesn't mean you will beat them.

And zwitterton, it would be nice if you showed a bit more respect to people posting and have something more constructive to say.

What do you mean at your peak? Are you over the hill now?
