It appears to me that carom is simply too hard to enjoy, the difficulty level is off the scale.

Instead of hitting 3 cushions the requirement could be lowered to a single cushion. Of course the win total would be increased too (say 15 points).

Also I've added the tournaments for Thursday and Sunday at 18.00GMT, 1 game per round, limit 20 minutes per round.

no why? just leave them as they are people will increase sooner

Is changing the ranks necessary.. the people with high ranks from the 3 cushion game will be even better and the less skilfull players will become increasingly as well

The ranks will need resetting because, in effect, it is a different game.

And I'm not just saying that because I'm like 630

Yeah because the success % for a start will be affected, infact just reset that one lol.

Loving this change, especially as I've recently renewed my interest in Carom ... but never anyone to play and it was going take me months to lose 'Newbie' status

I think this will increase its popularity no end!

Im not overly sure about the 1 cushion rule (but would be willing to give it a shot if it increases interest) but Im digging the tournaments.

Changes should definitely improve carom interest.

sounds like it is going to be too easy now lol... 15 points seem to low tbh..

i can see people getting runs if over 15 easily.

But look forward to it. may bring more intrest.

If you have it as one, then it will become competitive for the highest run, similar to straight in pool in a way.

If it doesn't work with 1 then it can always be changed to 2.

How about a drop arrow for how many cushions you want it to be? So below game type, if you choose Carom, it says with a drop arrow "cushions", then you can choose between 1, 2 or 3.
