I'm planning to introduce the more realistic spin on arcade and original.
I find the current spin on those games is incorrect, and just because it's called "funky" doesn't mean the physics should be poor!
The realistic spin is currently live on the regular table.
The advantage for this spin is that you can apply spin on shots the length of the table, the disadvantage is that it's less powerful at close distances.
I know you'll have to relearn spin but everyone will be in the same boat.
If there's any sensible reason to oppose doing so please tell me here, but please be constructive, and any threats about leaving the site will be ignored!

i think you should keep it the same just on arcade as its only 10 reds and just not as realistic as reg or orig
and i know you said about the names but arcade should be an arcade fun game staying unrealistic

Do it! lol... I think we should have consistency across all game types, especially in this sense.
Plus, it creates a challenge in itself for the more exerienced "I have a silly amount of maximums" players to overcome.

I now think it's a great idea, at first i was against it but that was because i was finding it hard to adapt to "regular" at first. Implementing the new spin to arcade will make it harder in my opinion and i think thats what it needs as it's currently too easy. As for original it will suit the table and style of play a lot more.

Agreed, I thought this wasn't a good idea, but now I've realised how much better pool's spin actually is. Also I've adapted so don't leave it as snooker spin.

Im not bothered either way, just as long as the side spin has more effect on cushions because that's what i need, helps a lot using it when trying to spin the white in and out of balk for example.

I was opposed to it, but maybe the more realistic spin should be brought in across all games, as when i went to play arcade i found it dificult to adapt.

I don't think arcade spin should be changed, its 10 red so its not exactly realistic, and the thing is if you give the same spin on all 3 games then it will make it abit easier becuase people will not have to adapt it will always be the same!

Spin should be made consistent across all games types. Consistent spin would allow for people to move from arcade to regular to original within having to learn new spin physics.
It would mean for a more unified system in my opinion.

i was playing in arcade snooker tourny and i was on 60 break and my opponant left the game...
tourny put me through on a bye when i hadn't even finished break and it didn't count towards stats and so on. Why has this changed?

Try not to post off-topic please blackjack. Your query has nothing to do with the thread.
Since it is a game query you should have posted it in there.
Thanks.

I'm with ste_efc and sean_paul on this. At first I didn't like that fact that I would have to learn to play yet again but after playing regular and seeing the new spin work nicely, my opinion has changed.
I would love to see it on original making the feel of it even more realistic.

Would love to see the same spin on all formats. Think the regular spin is great and shows more realisticness (if thats a word) than the current arcade spin etc:

That's a great news! I completely agree with the idea of bringing it to all games.
I'll just make the self request as damee, please increase the side spin's effect!
Another thing: is it possible to do something so that the ball naturally gets a top spin as it travels over the table? Just to make the spin even more perfect.
And another question: What about killer and carom?

Ive also noticed that spin stays on the cue ball after hitting a cushion, which isnt realistic.
Could it be set that the spin gets reset to nil after hitting a cushion or a ball?

After hitting a cushion the side spin is lost, after hitting a ball side spin remains to some degree.
(It may be easier to see using carom.)
