Answers to some questions:
- Upgrade is instant
- Currently the only difference between this and a regular account is the advert free gameplay
- Your account will be marked premium in game and on the website.
- For now I'm only promoting it through the forum, later I will advertise it in other areas of the site.

I think the only thing currently is the removal of add's but atleast this way you do not have to worry about annoying o2 adds causing lagg or any of that becuase the game runs smoother and easier, I don't think this feature is for everybody just yet but I am sure it will catch on when new ideas are brought forward with the premium account!

I just think it will be rubbish for non-premium members who can't get the money for whatever reason.- Is it fair?

I think most people will wait until the premium accounts reveal extra game content.

Maybe if we had a months free trial more people would be willing to give it a go
Also for those moaning about the fairness of it - lifes not fair. Its like hospitals - some have NHS whilst others can afford BUPA. Pay the bit extra or get over it - thats what i'm gonna do.

trust me when i say the advert-free is alot better for all you regular snooker players it increases the table size so the balls are more clearer as if your actually playing arcade snooker

I'm not entirely sure about this yet.
My initial reaction is great it's come at last !!
Having thought about it for a while, I have come to the following conclusion.
I think the price is no problem, I like the idea of no adverts, but
"Premium Member" oh my word !
Is that necessary ? Will that not create a bit of a "Them and Us" situation ?
As has been pointed out many times before, quite a lot of members may not be able to afford the upgraded membership for whatever reason and it seems to me to be a bit harsh to point it out in such a fashion. Also I believe it could look like some members are "Better" than others.
It may just be me being a little over sensitive, but I'm sorry at this moment in time I don't agree with the way it has been implemented.
Edited to make it a bit easier to read

Nick (or any premium users) any chance of a few screenies to see what we will be getting?
17:42 Fri 2 Jan 09 (GMT) [Link]
As Nick has said, this website currently relies on the money from adverts to keep going, and I'm sure the extra that would be gained from members paying for a little extra will help towards the upkeep of funkysnooker, now surely that is fair for Nick? A little extra help for keeping Funkysnooker going, and that's the main thing for this website.

Why what's wrong grae? Fair enough Nick, charge everyone from now on to stop the moaning.
I think it's a great idea, if you dont want to pay then dont. And how is it going to create a "them and us" situation? If you dont want the adverts that create bad lag for alot of users, then my opinion is pay for the premium membership.
If you get on ok with the adverts then dont, simple as.

Grae was just saying he didn't like the "Premium Member" message under neath premium members picture, I can see where he is coing from with that. I don't suffer from lag at all, so no need for me to "upgrade" other than more table size, but I kinda disagree with that, seems to give a bit of an advantage, but as i said not really that fussed.
