1) Why isn't carom included in overall, its a competitve game isn't it?

2) How about a lag success % on your profile and a table on carom highscores. Every time you win a lag you get a success. So lets say i won 60 out of 100 then i would have 60% success lag %age.

3) How come you can't get occurences like every other game type?

Sure there was 1 more but i can't think of it.

nah seriously, the game could be changed and that was the reason I think for why it doesn't count to overall.

My idea would be to change the homepage (the one before you log in - that guests see basically) so that it doesn't just give links to arcade and orig, but to carom, regular and maybe killer - not sure how that would work though. This would advertise it a bit more.

My Ideas for carom:

1) Make colour balls random (because i am bored of getting yellow in constant normal gameplay and white only in tournaments)

The room owner gets the white in ranked/friendlies, and for tournys it is random, as it puts the name of the tournys rooms in random order. They don't need changing.

also being able to choose your practice colour, thought on all these

practice colour changes when you don't get a run, and also, i agree with damee's 1st point, why isn't carom involved in overall? Just my opinion but if it was we could get more people playing.

He means change practice colour for break. So like clicking the rack button changes the option like it does on the other game types.

i dont think carom should be included in overall, nor should killer, i dont really want to play these, but still want to have a representative funkysnooker overall rating. Just because games like carom are put on the website when they could easily have gone on pool should not mean they are used in overall rankings

But it's a completely different concept to the main aspect of this website. There are no half centuries, centuries etc. so it would only really go into the wins & ranking section.

All three game types in the Overall bit contribute to each part, yet carom wont do this.

Got to agree with toontomh and ste_efc on this, and in fact I'm not too keen on Killer being included for exactly the same reasons (especially as there are no Killer Tournaments at the moment).

Yeah killer shouldn't be included as well. Carom and killer are just fun side games in my opinion.

Im sure nick said every ranking game is included in overall, yet carom isn't. Its ranked aint it? So why not include it, they int fun side game ste anyway, mini golf is on pool but thats it.

It would tick off a fair few people that a game which is at the bottom of most peoples priorities, to be counted towards peoples overall ranking, myself included.

I don't think the reason for it not being added is this though, I think it is because Nick was planning changing either the billiards game type or changing the rules slightly.

I'm pretty diabolical at carom but I think it should be in Overall, its competitive and everybody would have no choice but play to keep a constant overall ranking!
