I think I have been playing tournament games more than ranked/friendly games for a long time, and it really is annoying that you can't carry on your break no more...

miss the way it was, now everytime I'm on a break I always take the shot very quickly, because the opponent might leave any minute.

That happened to me earlier today during the Original Snooker Tournament. I was a on a 63 break heading towards my 1st ever century and then my opponent leaves so my break ends. It is really annoying.

Right. A few weeks back in a regular final i was on for a maximum in the final frame...and when i had reached 97 my opponent immediately left and it was soo frustrating. I agree, the breaks should be allowed to be carried on even when your opponents leave because it costs users high breaks such as maximums, cents, or even half cents for those who havent achieved them yet.

Understandable that Trish, it's happened to us all. But dont forget the simple fact that if your still on a break when the fixtures for the tournament get randomised and invitations are sent, you will be DQ.

Even in the final if you have not potted the last ball before the time limit runs out, you both get DQ.

And at the end of the day, you watch how many people would make a thread stating they did'nt get their tournament invite because they were finishing their break.

But if they had a reminder of how long they have to finish there break before the next game starts, it would be up to them wether they want to finish there break or to play on in the tournament.

reminders come up saying u have a minute left etc,so obviously if you are on one, youll leave if u want to stay in the tounry, but u may stil get the cent, not a 50

also another crucial point is if your on a max the chances of you taking all the allocated time up is unlikely, you probably will finish earlier than a lot of players..?

You expect something to happen over a couple of days...

I know this is not at the top of nicks priority list.

Plus, id like to add a point. What if you don't see the warning and would rather miss?

The only solution i can really see if that the break automatically ends not when the opponent leaves, but when the time given at the start of the game finishes, and puts you though. This way you still have time to complete the break and can still go through.

Not being funny. But if you want to go for a cent or a half then dont join a tournament. If other members are not sporting and willing to stay until you have completed your break, then go play someone you can trust to stay and have a fun few games with you. Thats my tip anyway.

it doesnt matter if they are virtuoso , at the end of the day the issue is not with them leaving, its with the set up in the first place. They dont have to stay if they dont want to although it would be nice, the actual setup needs to change back how it was

love_it, naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums what so ever. You should know this by now.

but deadend, solving that problem can create another. It really should just end your break when the allocated time reaches zero.

No they dont, but how do you feel when they do leave. The answer is gutted. Because if you was on for your first ever maximum. And they left, your temper threshold gets thrown through the roof.

But then again i have had a few players say people that leave while someones on for a high break are "nasty" so to say. And then i play them in a tournament game, they do exactly the same thing! Swings and roundabouts if you ask me.

I agree you do get annoyed , hence why i said it would be nice if they did, butwe have already gone through that on the previous page and for the sake of not going round in circles , i didnt bang on about it. Damees idea is the best.

And about my temper, it happened to me earlier in the reg tourny on 48 so yes i do hate it. But as I said thats been discussed earlier. I was making the point that just because its a virtuoso it doesnt make any difference.
