I love playing funkysnooker, but I don't really like playing in the tournaments. Especially the speed tournaments. I find that the speed tournaments can be open to a bit of bad-sportsmanship. I haven't been playing long, but when I have entered the speed tournies, my opponent has deliberately slow played, or played on with a silly amount of snookers required, for the sole purpose to get both of us kicked out of the tourny when the time runs out.

I think that it should go on who is leading at the end of the time. That person should qualify for the next round.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

yes.. if your leading then your just going to do the same thing arnet you and try to waste time?

No not really cos you'll want to pot the balls sooner to get the frame ended within the time allowance

touching ball should definitely come in!! i hate it when all both are doing is tapping a cluster. If it's touching you should just be able to play away from at as the ball you are touching would count as hitting it as soon as you touch the white.

(But I don't think it should count as touching ball if it's on a colour as this would mean an automatic foul = not fair)

I reckon there should be a rankings table which you can see yourself and the people around your ranking. Or a full rankings list with EVERYBODY on it (i have no idea how many people that would be)

Yeah i've just noticed in funkypool, next to each game type (in snooker this would be like reg, arcade etc..) it gives your rank e.g 675 and then what position that is eg. 14,056. I think this feature should be put on snooker. I can't see why it wouldn't be. Also the two ideas above for sure!!

It used to be on Snooker as well but had to be removed because it caused problems (FunkyPool and FunkySnooker run on different servers and the software on the FunkySnooker server can not support this feature). For it to be re-implemented over here would require a server upgrade.

OJ - because these things cost money mate unfortunately and I can't see Nick forking out for it just for the one change which would make a handfull of people deliriously happy and the vast majority totally indifferent.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally against the idea (in fact I am in two minds about it - some days I think it would be nice and others I think it looks messy). There was a thread (actually a few threads I think) about this a while back - Nick's response was as I gave in my previous post and (if I remember correctly) the feedback was inconclusive.

in tournaments u should be allowed to finish ur break i was on 63 with a possible 102 on ive never done a in game centand to do it in the tourney would of been gr8 but instead my oppenent milka left so i ended on 63 i feel this is wrong and should be changed

should it be a good idea to give the winner of a tournament 3 or 5 rankingpoints above the announcement? Could maybe lead to more players and so more games and more fun.

How much would it cost Nick to upgrade the server?
Maybe people on here could chip in....would that be an option?

Another thing i thought of...is there a reason why we can't have symbols like - ? > in game names??? I'd like to be able to.

I agree, we should be able to have caps and simbols in our names live on Xbox Live etc. etc.

The thing with that is is it that it would make reaching 1000 achievable which it currently isn't. So if someone managed to get up to say 980, they may just play tournaments to get themselves upto 1000.
