A size of a club depends upon many things, current league position is really taken into account a little bit (and Chelsea are only 4th lets not forget!)

Otherwise Borussia Dortmund would be the biggest team in Germany, and Bayern Munich some all so rans. (Dortmund are about 15 points clear in Germany)

It wasn't that long ago Liverpool were the number one ranked team in Europe.

Until Chelsea win things on a European stage they will never be taken seriously by other huge clubs around the world.

They likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Liverpool and to an extent Man Utd are power houses of football because of the size of their trophy cabinets.

You ask a Madrid, Bayern, Milan fan to name the biggest English clubs they will say Liverpool and Man United.

And as for the money issue, all that matters there is what of that money comes from revenue streams, not which chancer decides to buy the club.

Of course Chelsea are a better team than Liverpool. They are the most expensive set of players in the league!

If they go on to win as many trophies as Liverpool then they can be mentioned in the same breath as us, United, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, hell Even Nottingham Forest.

At the moment though they are still on that journey.

Our time will come again I'm sure though. Once the fair play rules come in teams like Chelsea and Unied will be scuppered from winning trophies from debt.

Personally i am a Chelsea fan but who cares about trophy cabinets seriously you support the club you support because that is who you choose to support, if you are just supporting them for there large trophy cabinet then you are a glory hunter.

Its like i have supported Rangers since i was born basically and that won't change even if they had 2 trophy's in there cabinet.

Because of all them teams United have less European Cups and domestic league titles combined.

The size of Liverpools trophy cabinet (Its huge by the way, takes about an hour to walk around) was not a factor in me supporting Liverpool. My mum chucking a Liverpool top on me aged 4 was probably it.

Also note that if you back United to win every time this season you will have lost an awful lot of money. They have won 17 games, and not won 12.

There squad is currrently very poor, as is all the premier leagues top team this year.

in the future i see no reason why liverpool can't win anything a lot has changed recently instilling new belief under the new regime.

most importantly King Kenny is back. he is a superb manager who knows the club and its players like the back of his hand he has settled the squad quickly and the players are responding well to his arrival.

2nd most important: Steve Clarke a superb coach who did the business at chelsea in 05-06 he knows how to get a team to gel and get results and results we are getting

3rdly: NESV our new owners willing to sell our biggest player in return for moving forward in the right direction. they spend what they receive on players and having plenty of extra reserves to spend in the summer on quality players. Damien Comolli is great and is looking for good young players to bring in at liverpool for a sensible price. We have flushed out all of our debt and its looking good

and then there is man u: in debt the owners are disliked and their players are not playing up to their normal standards.
