You need to accept Liverpool are going nowhere.

I think I said Chelsea are a better side than Liverpool. I also said United are the worst side to be top of the premier league for a very long time.

The premier league is a very poor quality league at the moment, and liverpool are 6th place in it.

I know very well the position Liverpool are in at the moment. I also know the position we could be in, in the future.

The Premiership this season is like the Npower Championship... It's very unpredictable, no team has been a "championship winning team" Chelsea have dropped major points, So have Liverpool and Tottenham, So have Arsenal, Man Utd have drawn some stupid games and it hurts to say that as i support them, but no-one can say that teams such as Chelsea are BIGGER than Liverpool, trust i hate Liverpool with a passion but they are going through a bad patch same as Arsenal, Soon they will be winning trophies.

Now back to transfer rumours:

Benzema maybe heading to Old Trafford in the Summer

A manc flatmate he can be proud aswell....

And I don't no what that word means but yes I do think if you are a Liveprool suporter you should be from LIVERPOOL!

Why are people proud to have fans knowing the man next to them can't even speak the same language to have a convo with them...

Maybe I am traditional maybe I love my City as much as my Team I wouldnt expect a German be suporting England next to me so why would I want them Suporting Stoke next to me....

Football where I am raised is all about a team effort all about being the heart of stoke on trent not china

Also as I said Liverpool are a bigger club on trophies only team bigger is united (or you got 1 or 2 more than united?) but currently like right now they are showing nuthing and just living of what they have done in the past... I cant take away you used to be an amazing team and you were the best in europe just see how much of this is past tense Chelsea have got a bright future where I think liverpool will definatly be back to top 4 champions league as you are to good not to just don't think there will be many trophies in store for you thats all.

Just to point that bit out, I am from Liverpool support Liverpool and have a season ticket in the kop. Now I know all of the rumours and songs "spot the scouser in the kop" etc however everyone around me within at least a 5-10 seat radius are all from Liverpool or the surrounding

^ Aye.

But it is a strange way of looking at if your *worthy* to support your club.

I mean which is the bigger fan. The fella who walks out his front door and walks 20 minutes to Anfield.

Or

The fella who gets up at 5 in the morning, drives for 7 hours and then gets back in again at midnight.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The area you just so happen to be born in is pretty irrelevent.

Where I am born, there is no football club. I am bang in between Liverpool and Manchester. So should I just not bother?

I live in Liverpool now, and it is one of the least racially tense places to live.

I can go from block 18 of the boothen end to block 23 from row 1 seat 1 to seat 600 row 36 and could nearly 100% guarantee I would only find a Stokie

Also for all you 'Liverpool Fans' if you had a choice right now FA Cup Final and get relegated or Stay up and win nuthing which would you prefer?

A true fan would prefer the cup the glory because you are going to suport them where ever they are in whatever league but I got a feeling you liverpool fans are to hyped on the premierleague to want to win end of day I love my team and will follow where ever I love football leave the financial to Peter Coates so I don't care what division we are in aslong as I can watch my loved Stoke City week in week out.

If liverpool were in league 2 I would still have a season ticket, I have had a season ticket since I was 5 years old, nothing would change my mind about watching them whether they are playing Accrington or Arsenal.

As for staying in the league or winning the FA cup, well we are not in that prediciment, in a pretty alright place in the league, obviously lower than the fans expectations but hey it's probably more than what we deserve the way we have played. Of course I would rather stay in the Premier League though, after all it is the best league in the world so hopefully will see some of the best football in the world with some of the best players in the world.

As a football fan not just a Liverpool fan I would want them in the premier league as their games against the likes of United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton are always top class. Also this season it was brilliant as a football fan to see Blackpool take 6 points from Liverpool however was also embarrassing for us.

So yeah I would rather stay in the premier league and attract the best players so I can see the best football.

Also about being able to walk from 1 end to the other etc...

So what, we have a large fan base, we are proud of this, and even prouder some of them travel half way around the world just to see us. Half of Everton's fans are from North Wales I don't hear anyone ever mention anything about that. As I said everyone I can hear around me are all scousers I don't need to go around...

talking to everyone I see asking their nationality, why they support Liverpool, where they was brought up or anything else like that.

The scenario is a pretty gloomy one there, Simon.

Why?

The truth is the premier league needs Liverpool just as much as we need it.

It also needs Liverpool competing for top honours again. If we were challenging Arsenal and United this season, it would make the league look a whole lot better.

To be honest though you think the league evolves around you lot

I wouldnt care if the top of the table were replaced with Birmingham Bolton Wigan and Blackpool aslong as long as I could go stoke every week to watch them

Also why does it have to be you challening for the league why not Tottenham? Everton? it makes no difference who it is aslong as it's fun!

On the transfer market think stoke are going put in a cheeky offer for N'zogbia end of season.

The ugly truth is, that it does revolve around Liverpool. It also revolves around to a greater extent United.

Add into that Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Spurs.

Without them teams the premierleague is no different to the SPL, or the Dutch Eredivisie.

And trust me, if that happened it wouldn't be the Barclays Premier League, or even the Coca Cola Premier League, more like the Autoglass Repairs Premier League.

The premier league is very much based around the top 4/6 clubs, because without them you have a sham of a league, and it would more or less kill off English football as a product.

For the premier league to be stronger, Liverpool need to be stronger.

The stronger the strongest teams in England are, the better for every club. Even if it means being mid table mediocrity and the odd trip to Wembley.

Thats just my view, but if you took out Celtic and Rangers from the SPL what are you left with?
