Ahh well thats another thing thats going on

Poulson is going to play a big part in this transfer window doe Stoke and Shawcross.

13mil and Poulson and you will proberbly get Shawcross

And also Shawcross is going to be world class, he's always overlooked and it's annoying as he's a Stoke player.

Why would anyone want Poulsen. Stoke are too good for him.

Falcao 35million move to Athletico Madrid.

Seems pointless. He isnt better than Aguero, so they got 3 million for swapping Aguero for Falcao... which his signing fee 2+ Million.

Stupid.

Fuunky you are so wrong tho.

Yeah some of their fans are scum, but really... every single team in the world has some scum fans.. even my team and we haven't hit the big time.

IMO the best fans in the world Are United fans, Celtic Fans, Ireland Fans (rugby and G.A.A included) and yes im about to say it... Liverpool fans.

When your in Croker, Celtic Park, Old Trafford or Anfield theres no athmosphere like it in the world its intense, I've been to Parkhead a couple of times, both Old Firm games, and there was no trouble from Celtic fans.

Anyways back on topic, that Falcao deal is absolutely ridiculous 35 million for a player from the portugese league? proven at Europa league level.. its just stupidity.

I completly disagree with you nicko!

First are all with Liverpool fans don't talk wet

The best fans in the country (after Stoke obviously ;)) are most proberbly Leeds/Newcastle for this simple reason if United/Liverpool etc were doing really really bad would they still be selling out week in week out no don't talk daft where leeds fans follow their club through thick and thin

Stoke in Championship average week game was about 13,000ish Stoke in Premiership I would say average gate 25,000 and it's the same for most football teams around the country

I judge fans on the love of their club not their antics after the games, also I don't find a problem with about of footy fighting it's in the history of the game and if they are as up for it as us then crack on!

Whats wrong is we play Man Utd/Arsenal/Liverpool away you can only here the Stoke fans untill they score then they might have a chant, when they play us at the brit they don't even make a noise I love a club who are rowdy don't shut up for 90 minutes when I go watch Stoke from first to last whistle all I do is sing and scream but hey I love the passion I got for football where other clubs don't seem to think the same.

Every team in the County will have a 'Holligan side' but it does not mean they are passionate about their club, and just to add Celtic are just as bad as Rangers, and what I have learnt from Liverpool fans last 2 times they came here the mixed pub they start the fight first lol

Nicko do you agree with shouting and singing through a minutes silence? If I'm wrong then you must do. I think it's disgusting how you can back them up after seeing there fans been put to shame all over youtube, they were even doing it against rangers while the rangers fans stood there in silence, can you find any videos of other fans doing what they do? I very much doubt it..

As for man u fans been the best in the world lol @ that, the athmosphere is awful they only sing and get behind the team when they are winning, is that what you call good fans? and theres only about 20% of them what are actually from machester, 28,000 stoke fans would out sing 75,000 man u fans easily.

Stoke fans are 'old school' which is what I love about them like Liverpool and Man U and Newcastle they are the pride of their City and that's what I love about them.

Big shout out to Charlton Athletic though, League One and still averaging 17000+ per game at the Valley I go about 10-15 times a season and a brilliant atmosphere, definately my second team and looking good for promotion this year after Chrissy Powell's bargain hunt style approach this summer, he has brought in 15 players! most of them looking quality from non-league and league two and most of those were free transfers

championship here we go!

One thing for sure, Man United/Liverpool/Celtic do not have "the best fans".

If your judging it by fan base then the amount of plastic scousers I know, people who have never been to Liverpool let alone Anfield. People who think Owen is still their best player, or Torres.

If you judge oon the fans as a whole then the topper teams in the UK will do worse than any other.

Being from Brighton, I see how passionate people get about the Seagulls. I see this look in their eyes, very similar to an in drug experience ... Which is what I am like with Chelsea and select fans are like with United, Liverpool and Celtic etc.

The 'glory' fans are everywhere. United and Liverpool have a wider fanbase than Chelsea due to being more successful in the past and was only since 2003 that Chelsea became a huge club and attracted glory fans.

Its not just with the big teams in the premiership - 16,000 season tickets have been purchased at Swansea this season... which is higher than their average attendance for last season. With success comes fans.

I would personally say Newcastle are my favourite fans followed by Stoke. Even if these teams were majorly successful I dont feel as though the majority of them would be as arrogant or cocky about it.

I feel that Liverpool and United like winning to rub it in peoples faces, whereas Stoke/Newcastle like winning for the right reasons.

Stoke maybe but I think newcastle would have a bit of fun with the sunderland supporters

One of my mates was an AC Milan 'fan' until Liverpool beat them then he became a Man U 'fan' then Chelsea won the league and suddenly he is a Chelsea 'fan' and now he is a Norwich 'fan' who he claims to have supported all along, drives me nuts first time I even heard him mention Norwich was when they reached the playoffs.

I became a Liverpool supporter simply because the first game I saw was Liverpool vs Charlton and I decided whoever won I would support Liverpool won simples. 4-0 Fowler scored twice and Murphy and Owen scored as well.

Supported them ten years out of the 15 I have been alive so I think I qualify as a good fan. Been to Anfield twice now that I'm older I'm planning on going 2 or 3 times a season if possible as I can afford it with my job and can go without an adult and going to the Liverpool game in 11 hours or so, feel just as excited as I did ten years ago.

That's why I can't sleep

I want to punch glory hunters in the face sometimes give the rest of us who support big teams a bad name. In fact I think I have punched one or two...

Juventus fans done it at Anfield a few seasons ago, not just chanting but booing, turning their backs on us and some were raising a finger or two to show how they felt, disgusting.

And to you all, I have been a season ticket holder for 16 years now, and I am only 21 I still get the same buzz going now as I did my first game. I workmy backside off all year to save money for my season ticket, try going to away games and have been a few grounds myself, and Liverpool away are even more loud as Liverpool at home.

Let me be the first to tell you the atmosphere at Anfield has dropped somewhat in the past 5 years or so but this year with Kenny back (maybe it was just because it was the opening game) it sounds electrifying in there now just how it should be. United are exactly the same, and Everton for that matter even though their standard of football has dropped a bit in the past 15 or so years, fans are so dedicated.

I can't really comment on Stoke but I have been to Newcastle, Derby, Charlton, United, Birmingham, Arsenal and Chelsea. The only 3 of these which actually showed as much passion to the game as our fans did were the first 5, Arsenal and Chelsea didn't make a sound hardly. Haven't seen Chelsea away in the last 5 or so years so may have changed but Arsenal fans are always terrible.

Fighting at games is always ridiculous IMO, you go to a game to watch the match not kick crap out of some other people because they are wearing a different shirt. I know all sets of fans do it before you say anything but it doesn't make it alright really does it?

I know Liverpool fans have done it in the past and probably will do in the near future and I don't condone it myself, but that's down to them if you go looking for trouble don't run crying when something happens.

Now as for Stoke vs Liverpool last year...

I had a few friends go there, some of the nicest lads you could meet really and was meant to be going myself but couldn't scrape up the funds. Anyway walking back from the stadium to their coach they got set upon by a group of Stoke fans and one of them got stabbed and was in a pretty bad way. Now is that alright? Just because he was walking down a road... it is so ridiculous, it needs stamping out of football.

Shawcross or Cahill?

I think come next season we could have them both anyway(or at least try anf get them both), think Carra only has a season or so left in him, could need them both really but if I was to choose think I would take Cahill at the minute. I also think this or next could be Gerrard's last season with all his injury troubles he is out more than he is in now and may be forced into retirement or Liverpool may be forced to let him go. Hope it doesn't come to that but if he faces even more injury troubles after this come back then can't see him being here for much longer unfortunately.

Man United fans, were great because of the sheer slagging matches that we come up with against every other prem league teams fans. Anyone heard of ABU? Anyone but United, thats what it was for years and years, and we all stood proud with our Badges on our chest, when United were playing bad or walking teams all around the world.

Don't forget United hav the biggest fanbase In the whole World.. Must be doing something right. People can say were glory hunters but thats usually only pool fans who do, and most of them were born in the 70-80's when liverpool wer the team which is a bit ironic. My dads been supporting United Since he was 3 years old, hes 49 now, my brothers support united my cousins, uncles anyone with an interest in football in my family follows united.

Whenever I go to Old Trafford i cant speak to my dad or brothers right beside me because they cant hear me over the chanting from our fans.

But if you all want to see tru fans, come over to Ireland for the Euro 2012 and the 2014 world cup, see us in it and see how the whole country gets behind our team, literally everyone in the country wears ireland stuff, dyes their hair the tricolour, gets tatoos, paints themselves, paints their houses, even spraying their dogs... Seriously you will never find fans like the irish, ask anyone after every world cup were at people say we have the best fans in the world!
