He hasn't been unlucky at all, he new when he bought Aquilaini that he wouldn't be fit till November. Thats stupidity not unfortunate.

The fact of the matter is, we now have a rather ageing squad so injury is bound to happen. gerrard for example will continue to get groin strains because he has to much work load. We are in my view taking 2 years off his career putting him back to baby sit lucas in the holding mid role. Just behind Torres is where he should be playing, so he doesn't have to worry as much about defending as well as creating.

The fact is, we are light of a striker, a centre mid and 4 decent defenders atm and that is Rafas fault. He has assembled this squad over 5 years, so why is it so out of balance?
