I'd like the idea that balls are appear in sidebar when they are potted.
But, ... :
1. some times all happens that quick you don't know what happen. Just know that some balls were potted but don't know where.

2. It gives more logic in game because only validated potted balls would be in the side bar.


I'd like to see the ball in a hole until the all moving ball on the table are stop. And score is registered.

PS: It seems to me that wouldn't be so complicate to implement and wouldn't take that much of valuable servers resources.

It is not something i would personally find much benefit in, but i do think it is a good idea and if it helps anyone out then it is an improvement, and all improvements are good.

i think it is kind of pointless aswell, unless you are smashing into the reds or are a bad player and miss loads of shots but fluke them anyway then there is no need to know where you potted the red or colour

OK please try to stick to topic and stop arguing about this. It's always better for the debate if people explain why they (dis)agree with any proposed idea, but if someone doesn't want to, it's no reason to start arguing instead of discussing the real point. Otherwise we only make the threads messy.


Besides the real use (or absence of use) of such an animation, I think it would still be nice to see and would contribute to improve the global visual gaming experience.

Ah but you do! Thats the reason funkysnooker/pool has developed so well, because we dont use pointless polls to shape the sites, but sensible, detailed, well constructed cases.

The use depends on player personality. In this manner we can discuss usefulness of in game chat and we will see that not everyone use it.

A purpose of this was bring more logic. Anyway the game is good and as a fan I want to make it better.

As a decisions I think here very little democracy as I understand only Nick will decide what to be done first.

So this idea has it's pros and cons. And I wanted to discuss those but not a phylosophical approach where the point and what is pointless.

PS: In spirit if snooker where the attention to detail is very high and this makes a difference implementing this feature will help rise a standard f the game.

it may visually improve the game but it has no improvement to make to overall gameplay except to players who smash the balls around and want to know where the balls were potted.

In that case the table graphics are pointless. The cue graphic is pointless. All the options for alternate cursors and table colors and the like are pointless.. Visual improvements can mean a lot to some players and will always help bring new people to the site.

As spinner said anything that improves the game and has no bad side effects has to be good. The only thing that is pointless is posting an opinion without an explaination, because without one, you cannot possibly have an opinion.
