Well that to me is more viable.

I would be in favour of changes such as:

Chalk (maybe)
More realistic cue
Applause
Referee voice over

Would not be in favour of:

Kicks
Sneezing and coughing...
Chalk to prevent miscues (should just be a visable thing IMO)
etc...

i think the avatar is a very good suggestion and also the medals and the rest above ^^^^^^ what the_kop said is spot on IMO

Of course it's unique.
But what is doing it unique?

The UI graphics, the physics applied, people who is playing it?

There are a lot of factors which contribute to uniqueness. An bringing more reality in terms of realistic movement of the balls (it is my Point of view) will not erase it.

Bringing more SFX (special effects) will make it more commercial which i don't like.

From Yr point of view it seems to be like now it is "OK" and let it be conserved. This is not the best way of thinking.

just a quick few things,

1. a snooker cue instead of a pool cue.
2. chalk sounds good because you dont have to use it, its just the for fun really.

3. i like the avatar's suggestion and the medals, at least you will be winning for a prize(not a prize but like a honour prize thing lol)

4. sound effects, i was playing before and it sounds like im playing american pool or something, because everytime a ball is potted it sounds like its hitting the bottom of the bucket(on a pool table that is) would'nt there be a way in getting a sound effect say from a snooker video when the ball hits the back of the pocket and goes in the bag?? i think that makes sense anyhoo lol

Hello i am glad that this discussion come up again.

I consider that funky snooker should be as close to reality as possible. And keep some game rules specific to funky snooker.

Keep it simple. Don't ruin the funky in funkysnooker.

Ahhh but Nick said the word funky shouldn't be used as a reason to prevent realism.

Surely you'd just go to somewhere for example.. I don't know.. realsnooker.com if you wanted a 'real' experience or possibly just buy a real snooker table. But the fact of the matter is, why fix something that isn't even broken? Additonally, the demand for a 'real' simulation on here isn't that great because there are plenty of other sites offering it already.

On the technical side of things, if it were to be introduced, it would only cause lag across the whole range of different games on here taking up all the server space. This in turn will only push members away and where would be the funky in funkysnooker with out the members?
