I figure only over 18's should be allowed to post on forums.

Me and a few others who I shall call Man A, Man B and an annoymous character who I shall call Kenny decided that only over 18's should be able to post.

Clearly some of the kids on here are too stupid to post and fight and argue over the most illustrious topics such as colours of the rainbow..

Thoughts?

Don't say that kids are stupid. Allow them to control themselves. Children often learn correct behavior as their life continues.

I think it would be better if the forum was split up into to two groups based on age. So maybe there could be a forum for up to 17s (excluding under8s of course) and one for over 17s (18 years of age or over.) How about that???

In addition, there are some teenagers that like to post and I think this seems unfair on teenagers since you said that only over 18s are allowed to post onto the forum.

Half the profiles are either incomplete regarding age, or maybe wrong.

Not Impossible, but irrelevant. Age has little to do with maturity and even less to do with creativity which is the essence of any popular forum.

If kids wanna discuss the merits of the colors of the rainbow, cool, go for it, I've seen plenty of stuff on here over the years I'd soon pass up to read that

Forum should be open to everyone. As long as us younguns comply with the forum rules then what's the problem?

Good point well made b2b. However there are several active members who seem to enjoy trying to incite other members, especially in the game query thread - unfortunately these seem to be mainly 'junior' members.

Perhaps a maturity test should take place before posting rights are granted

A lot of people over 18 would fail the maturity test.

I am 11 years of age and I would not post forums on colours of the rainbow or babyish stuff, obviously.

If people were really bothered. You could make a forum for the over 18's over. But it wouldn't work because people who arn't 18 can just change there age.

Yeah but if the forum was for over 18's only, they shouldn't be changing their age at all.
If the forum was for over 18's only and the user is believed lying about their age, they would probably be banned.

If you ask me mclarenguy22 is perfect reason to do this

We were all under 18 once ( I think ) ..anyway, i think it should be open to all ages as long as they stick within the forum rules
