the only issue in my opinion would be game playing time.


because if it goes on wins i mean, i have notched up 1000 in a month simply because i play alot more than others,

so although this would benefit me i must admit it would be unfair,


i do think tho that if on the last week of each month a thread was started in game shouts we could do a tally of votes, !!!! however !!!! we all know people would mess around putting each others names so it prob also wouldnt work,


maybe the best way is to get one mod to take control over it and possibly do a sweep of the forum and get individual votes , say 100 and announce the winner that way.

would be really good fun to see wat results come out, i mean a mod could pm everyone asking who is player of the month in your opinion, it shouldnt take long to get 100 return answers,


i mean damn i would do this myself if i wasnt a participant.

i play for a snooker team and in my league there is"mvp(most valuable player)" and "mip(most improved player)"

what im getting to is that these go of how much your handicap goes down(so in this, how much your ranking goes up)

and it also counts on breaks and how many breaks you get in a month

if this could be implemented into the game then i think this would be the best way around it.....

any thoughts peeps??

amount of breaks comes down to game time played.

I don't see the point in it really, there are already such threads banded about with like a whole list of criteria such as best arcade player best original player, best funkysnooker player, most popular player etc etc

Don't see the need for anything official unless people are so desperate for recognition.

Well if am honest i_am_god would walk player of the month for september.

But Playa of the month would have to be Dgen!!

not really mate, because people stand aside when they lose 2 games in a row to allow a different player in!(but this is erelevant beacuse its a seperate league lol)

say if i played 10 games and made 5 halfs and 5 cents(asif i ever would lol)

but if somebody else played 20 games and got the same amount of games then i would be mvp!!
but i think this mvp would need alot of stuff doing to it!!

so with mip(most improved player) that could be based on breaks and also ranking points and i think this could be implemented into the game say with a newsletter(like the good old days)

I doubt this would be any different to anyone else voting.

No offence to staff but they know no more about current player qualities than anyone else so it would be a tad unfair and they could still vote for people they know. There is no borderline between staff and members when it comes to knowledge of individual stats and performance.

Still very unsure about public voting. Unless it was unnofficial and just for fun. I'd very much welcome forum polls for this reason.

not public vote as such its basically you ask a mod to look at your stats if you are going to have a go at winning an award at beginning of month then at the end of 28 days mods take a look at your stats and announces who has:

most wins
most torny wins
most cents
and most improved player i.e rank
and probly room for 1 more category that you guys can sort out possibly most improved high break something along those lines?

And you expect us to do that over all twenty odd thousand members?

read the beginning only the people who want to have a go at winning the award that month

and they ask to have their stats looked at to show they are not lying

So if we only have those that ask to be included, how are they, for example, the most improved in rank? There could be a person who never posts on the forums or never speaks in game, yet they went from 550 to 950 in the space of a week.

If you doing a general most improved, you have to include EVERYONE.
