Just Watched the WSOP 2009 & watched Joe Cada break Peter Eastgate's Record in 1 year! after he beat Phil Hellmuth's record after 19 years!

He was extemely lucky tho i must say, holding an under pair twice all in pre flop to hit the set ON the flop to suck out.

Seemed it was destiny!

And how on earth did Darvin Moon Get to heads up!! He was completly useless!

Impressive stuff this year in the poker world, a woman who comes down my Casino just baged herself a £3000 seat and a seat in the Champion of Champions, that was for coming first in the nation league so hopefully she does something watch out for Sue Pellington

Great game, I won a game between mates after three of us went all in, won it on the river too had two 3's then 3 came out on the riverrrrr

poker is changing a lot due to online gaming

before, going all in on pocket 3's was unheard of, but online poker has shown (because of bad players calling everything) that if you are prepared to take a gamble you are more likey to win......

poker, more than ever is now about making your opponents fold before the turn card - ie playing the opponent rather than the card......

i love poker and play it every night online and most weekends I think FS could set up a poker club where we can run a private tourney online

I tend to play eratically, just so people can't read how I play

The fact that in tournament play we can now see professional's cards it is a new trend of how people play, so many different styles.

Poker is so HUGE! now and its everywhere u go online, i play Full tilt poker, party poker and pokerstars and sometimes 888.com and make a decent profit.

i dont just have 1 style, and like mucko said, i dont play the cards, i play the person. if you can read what cards they have then why would u even need to see your own?

Was holding Q,10 on the BB called the raise from the button, Flop - JK9 rainbow, i slowplay it as you should, he raises me half his chips so i gather he's pot commited and push all in, he calls AJ of spades...Runner Runner spade turn and river

Won £30 tho, not bad for a coupele of hours work, and it was all good fun inbetween

At a staff poker comp 100 people there from all over England on final table I had K 7 on BB checked around and the flop came K K K so I got the nuts can't be beaten some guy in position 3 said raise then fold fold position 6 went all in folded around to me I went all in position 3 called 1 turned over pocket A's other had 10's I think then I slaped me K down should of seing their faces

Was playing Omaha Hi, Which is where ur dealt 4 cards, however u have to use 3 cards from the flop and 2 from ur 4 to make the strongest hand, IE you cant use 3 of ur hole cards...

The Turn Comes a Jack, Which im hoping they're holding KQ to make a straight and it brings the 2nd Diamond out opening a flush draw, Im still holding the nuts. BB bets $9 & Mid Position Raises to $30 Which i Then Reraise To $85 To make it look as tho i have a straight, & dont want them to hit a house, or flush....The BB Folds & Mid Position Moves All in for another $60 to call, Which Of Course I Make As My Hand Is Unbeatable At this precise moment...Pots $340.

i used to play fulltilt and paddypower but rarely play any at all anymore.
in first year in college i played 5 times a week with the lads, then we thought the girls to play so guaranteed 7 or 8 players to play every night. sometimes we played 2 tables of 8 and when 4 were knocked out from each table we would join them.
longest i ever played was from 8pm until 6am.

what i would love to do is a little poker league with a group of friends.
say everybody pays in $20 at the start as a kind of registration which forms the prize pot.
then every game there is the buy-in as usual $10. a set number of games every week for example two games a week or something and if you cant turn up thats your problem.
$10 added to the prize pot every game from the buy-ins and the winner of the game gets the rest

person with most wins at end of it gets the original buy in money.

I was thinking Poker players...

We should creat a funkysnooker poker challange, where members of funysnooker can play against each other for bragging rights

My idea is, members that are up for it can download a poker site such as Full Tilt poker, and play against each other for "Play Chips",

So purely fun!

It doesnt matter if your a newbie or a veteran of poker its just for a laugh and giggle, if anyone is interested then put your name down, should be gooooood fun

I love poker! Play online a bit but play every week with a group of mates, tenner in the pot each, winner takes all, 60 quid pot, obviously dont win every week but in the past month i have won twice (£120) not bad going like! :)

I think (Was a while ago but) the set raised to pot of like 6,000 (In competition chips not real money) RF re poted quads re-poted lol then the Set folded kept his cards to show at the end and then the RF was all in quads call turned them over and BAM! He just laughed and draged his chips to him casual and just had a big smile on his face for the rest of the night lol

This was back in the day of Straight/RoyaL Flush got you a bottle of free Champagne

I love my poker, i was through 5 satellites to the final for the Caribbean Classic 10K package. 300 players entered the final at £300 a shot though i didn't pay a penny worked up from a points sat.

I was down to last 30 an on the BB, was sitting just over average chips, everyone folded and the dude on the SB went 3 times the BB. I knew he was stealing and i was sitting with pocket fours. Well i hate folk stealing my blinds, and i knew if i won that had i would almost certainly be jetting of the the CC. So i went over the top of him, all in. I swear the dude waited until the very last second on the timer then called, at that point i knew i would be ahead (only just though) or else he would have called straight away.

So he turn over A4, i go the dude dominated, he needs a A. Nothing on the flop, nothing on the turn, cant remember the exact odds, i think i was 96%. The dude hits his A on the river. LOL i was speechless for about 2 hours, never been so gutted.

Think I'll go for a wee game the now.

I have a poker tourny in manchester 2moro 9 seated final table, dont no the layout or format for it, i think it will be quick tho, won a qualifier from the pub and then the 2nd qualifer a regional, played out of my skin!!!

Hope i do well, and i hope i dont get unlucky

Will hate to travel miles to get lucked out lol!!
