Ok i think this would be great.
a flag we can press when opponent is on the table that then shows opponent your giving up
So when opponent misses game ends

yes i agree this is a great idea, best idea you have had yet lee
loads of times when im playing games and im well behind i will say to the opponent "miss and il flag" when they cant get a half cent or whatever.
i always miss on purpose or pot the white when im way ahead and a ridiculous amount of snookers are required to win just to have the game over quicker to start a new one (despite the fact im accused of being unsportsmanly for it)
having that button would be so much easier.

Why should you decide when your opponent should concede or not?
Depending on the quality of your opponent, and the way he/she plays, surely they should flag when they are ready; (and yes, it is unsporting IMO).
As regards the original idea, I am against it, as the flag should only apply when you require snookers, as is the case today.

you dont fully understand the idea, or else maybe i dont, but the flag will only appear when you require snookers but instead of it only appearing when your opponent misses, it will appear while your opponent is still playing. giving you the option to concede. which will end the game instantly once the player potting misses or if they want to, clears the remaining balls.
in a friendly WSO situation where the result is beyond doubt surely me deciding to get the game over with as soon as possible is speeding up the whole process.

So, basically, you hope to gain about 3 seconds extra playing time per frame (and I'm sure someone clever will give us the total amount of extra frames possible in a year), by being able to flag whilst your opponent is at the table.
Doesn't really seem worth it

baff pal this is a great option m8
i was playing a player there was 43 available, he was over 50 ahead i said gg wp but he carried on although he was not on a half.
i sat and watched the ever so pointless break and thought i wish i could click a flag while hes playing. it wouldnt stop his break but it would show on his screeen that 100% i have conceded.
also baff pal you talk all the time abouth people being bad sports on the tables saying gg wp ill concede and then playing on etc. This would be great option because rather than having to take there word for it they hit the surrender flag and you know when you miss you have won.
im picturing a little flag that would appear so i know my opponent has given up i can then decide do i want to continue or shall i call frame now.

Stupidddddd unsporting, and as baff said, flag when they miss whats the difference? Would be abused again, someone is on for a max your 56-0 down, then an off putting flag pops up.

Some people clear the balls if there aint a half on because either they aint the best of players and a 30 break is very good for them. Or they aint playing good and just want to get into the groove of things.
What's wrong with just waiting till they miss then just concede? Not worth it just to save a couple of seconds of gameplay.

lets say there is 2 reds left on the table, max break left of 44 and your 70 points ahead. your telling me it will take 3 seconds to clear that whole table? each shot will take on average 10 seconds for the person to aim, shoot, pot and wait for white and other balls to stop moving.
for that alone will take 100 seconds to make that break. thats assuming the player is quick.
and that doesnt even account for them missing, in which case i have to pot the remaining balls so that they will not have the chance to stay to come back to the table.
2 or 3 minutes has passed at this stage that could have been used to start a new game.

You have totally mis-understood his post. The 3 seconds if referring to when they miss and you have to take a couple of seconds to click the flag, while this way just saves them couple of secondss.

Nice idea!
Remeber thou it could be another option - you dont have to click this button if you feel like carrying on with the game!
Could we take a little further, and the only way someone can leave the game is if they press this button. This would then allow them to leave at any point during the game and the person playing can still carry on with a decent break. This could then take away people leaving the game and causing you to lose the potential break.
This could then be used to reduce the amount of abandons on your profile. You just condede the game!
Gets my vote

Dame - you hit the nail on the head.
Lee - Yes, I am often bemoaning the lack of sportsmanship on this site, but still don't like this idea, sorry.
If you have the misfortune to come across a player who says "gg wp" and continues playing, then it is not particularly agreeable, and I make a point not to play that person again. I would still see the frame out though.
Also, as Dame correctly pointed out, maybe the opponent is warming up and just needs to clear up (1/2 or no 1/2) to get into the groove.
Just to put another aspect into the pot (as it's brewing nicely now), if you were able to flag when you wanted, e.g. because your phone rings, and today you might leave the frame, it would not show as abandonned on your stats, but would technically be the same thing though.
I just feel that this is an easy get out for some players, to avoid unwanted abandonned stats.

think its time to bring this up again
would love to see this in place. cant remember exactly why cuz i forgot while i was searching for it and reading the posts already here.
i think it would be great to be able to show you are going to concede so that they can miss if they choose to.
or if im ahead id like to know that if i miss the game will end straight away so im not wondering do i have to pot the remaining balls to leave the game if im in a hurry.
i dont like abandoning games even if i have already lost and especially if i am a ridiculous amount ahead and they insist on clearing the last few balls (and generally missing or playing stupid shots with no intention of ending the frame)

If you don't want abandons on your profile, then don't abandon games??!!
seems like an easy solution to me
