Apart from the reasons mentioned above people getting disqualified when trying to continue the break were much more numerous and vocal on the forum.

It shouldn't be changed back to protect breaks for high-break scoring minority who are aware of the different rules applying to tournaments.

Well, i'd prefer to get a DQ in a final if it allowed me to make a maximum and im sure its like that for others too.

Why cant both scenarios be resolved where the break continues and theres no chance it results in you getting yourself disqualified.

If that isnt possible then cant you add a feature where when the opponent leaves you get to choose whether ;
1. You continue your break knowing your risking getting disqualified.
2. You simply end the game there and risk no threat of disqualification.

I really no very little about what you can and cannot do, but it feels a shame that the players who can hit the higher breaks more frequently, feel like entering a tournament is a waste of time.

Takes away everything good about it

Also, if your not able/willing to address this issue Nick, then match abandoning has to be sorted out. Make it so its not humanly possible to leave the game unless you lose internet connection. I no people will pull the plug but people with abit of common sense will realise finishing off a high break will take less time then re-establishing internet connection and logging back in.

John Virgo "What a supurb break this is Willie"

Willie Thorne "Yes John, there's just no stopping Ronnie when he's playing like this"

John Virgo "Just this easy black to make his 24th televised maximum here at the crucible and take the £147,000 maximum break prize"

Ronnie chalks his cue, gets down on this very easy black off the spot, pulls his cue back...

Ohhh, Whats this? whats happened? Peter Ebdon has left the game and therefore Ronnie finish his break.

What a shame, he has to settle for the 140.

Lol.

@ cue_power.

Next patch will have an option for people to disable the automatic break end.

The penalty for anyone who complains that they are disqualified from a tournament while playing on will be beheaded.

One question/suggestion.

At the moment I assume each round continues until the time expires even if there is just one player still playing.

This does seem unfair that potentially lots of people are having to wait just because one player want to carry on.

I think it would be fairer that when the last game is *decided*, the next round begins and any players still playing are disqualified.

A 107 can be hit by a half decent player in around 6 minutes. If the other games are finished and one was still left with that player continuing a break I cant see that it would take more than a few minutes to end the round which really, isn't long to wait.

Don't personally see that as unfair at all, people join the snooker tournament, they abide by and follow the snooker rules.

Think people are fogetting that high scoring frames take a lot less time than tactical ones. A 107 for example is hit easily within 10 minutes.

Not unfair at all, everyone knows where they stand.

Hmmmm. It's not really possible to do that at present. It can be looked at after watch game from any point is added.
