Its not going to make the game more popular as its the exact same game, but on a harder table.

And the majority of users don't like harder games (not a dig at them, it's just a fact) and thus the reason arcade is more popular on here than the other games.

Considering how hard Carom is right now for the majority, a good idea isn't making the game harder.

A good idea would be something such as an aimer on the practice table only to assist people in learning how the ball is going to run. As for the actual playing against other people aspect, it doesn't make much difference. It would make learning the game easier, which, being completely honest, is what Carom needs. If something is easy to learn, it becomes easy to play meaning more users are going to play Carom.

Having an aimer on the Carom table may mean that people who have never used spin would be able to see how it works without actually taking a shot, giving a beneficial aspect to the other game types.

why not have carom

and when you choose game room

you can pick

either

arcade, reg, or orignal,

similar to shot time limit.

etc.

That doesn't bring anything new. Its still the same game with the option of playing it on two harder tables.

Could you think about the majority of the site and what would be beneficial to most people (like my idea of an aimer on the practice table...) rather than about yourself and the ten other regulars on Carom?

The fact of the matter is that these ideas benefit like 10 people on the site, and half of them will move back because its too hard.

this forum drives me nutz, if everyone was positive maybe , just maybe the site would have more games and be fun which inevitably would introduce more players to the site.

If everyone was positive then bad ideas would be agreed upon, and no real need for the forum then, just a list of ideas.

Isn't that being positive and trying to improve the popularity of Carom? Or did you overlook that fact to continue arguing and being negative yourself?

Also, no ones opinion is invalid. I have played Carom and I like the idea of Carom however I don't see the point of coming on here to play a game that I find so frustrating. I come on here to have fun, not to be annoyed at the game.

if i wanted to write in proper english i would but this isnt an exam, as it happens english was my strongest subject in school, i went on to study in media and film review and have also managed in the leading bank in the uk.

im just frustrated that david can slag the game off yet have a big opinion that it shouldnt change.

i wouldnt go on the pool forum and slate there ideas because i hardly play pool, so it dosnt effect me.
