Amen.

Spain have proper done me.

Had Uraguay to beat South Africa @ 10/11
Chile to beat Honduras @ 8/13
Ivory Coast & Portugal to draw @ 12/5
Slovenia to beat Algeria @ 11/5
Holland to beat Denmark @ 1/2
Ghana to beat Serbia @ 2/1
Spain to beat or draw with Switzerland

a £10 bet for about £900 if Spain won and £1500 if Spain drew...

And how did Spain lose!! I wanted them to draw dont get me wrong but they could of at least won!

I am ashamed of myself tho to because there was only the Uraguay v South Africa game after the Spain match...so I was confident Spain would win but I thought I'd be clever and put £30 on South Africa to win £20 for the game to draw and put £20 on Switzerland to win...just to cover my bets so I would win no matter what happens.

I won a small small amount but I am disgusted that the Swiss beat Spain, disgusting.

Christ derry thats harsh, have no idea how spain lost. Their possesion and passing was amazing, yet the swiss were like a brick wall at the back. We only seen the real spain at the very end when they needed to play well.

Looks like it might be Spain v Brazil in the next round!

I had Nigeria to draw with greece :( so far
And France to win 2-1 tonight

But overall the bookies are laughing all the way to the bank in this world cup

Harsh. Stupid Nigerian player for kicking out at that Greek. Let his whole country down.

Its good tho now because South Korea will qualify I believe.
South Korea v Greece for the 2nd spot and I really reckon South Korea will beat them. Only thing is as they lost 4-1 their goal difference is inferior so Greece will only need a draw to secure 2nd spot.

South Korea have really impressed me. So industrious with their work rate & they are clinical with their finishing. Also unlike the Nigerian player that saw red for his stupidity the Asian countries, especially South Korea have solid disicplin.

People may think i'm mad for saying this but I believe that if Jose Mourinho was managing either Holland, Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy or Germany then he would probally win the world cup.

My reason is if you look at the teams like Spain and Argentina who have dominated possesion & play have both been vunreable. Spain obviously losing to Swiss and Argentina have been caught on the break and lets not forget it could of been 2-2 if Kora had took their chance.

Mourinho has that tight defensive style of play & always hits on the break, Inter & Chelsea he proved how good teams can be defensivley its not pretty football, but it wins games.

If Jose was manager of any of those teams, he could station his team defensivley, soak pressure & counter.
If Switz, Japan & Korea can win on the counter with medium teams & manager...Imagen a good team with Jose in charge...its a winning combination.

Jose & Brazil/Argentina/Spain probally dont match well at first becuase of the players, but trust me if Jose was in charge it would be a complete different squad.

I think Joses' perfect world cup team is (honestly) England. Just for the fact that are players arent exactly...pacey. Backline with Gerrard Lamps and Barry all defensive then hit on the counter.

I really believe he would win the world cup or do very well. Suits his style perfectly.

Agree or disagree?

I love a chin wag

I agree that it was unfortunate, silly nigerian man...what did he go and do that for? The Argentina game was beautiful, bit unfortunate with the South Korea goal, should have really been dealt with!!!
However, I really think either Germany or Argentina have a big chance of winning this World Cup and I can totally see a Germany-Argentina final....personally I think Maradona is the absolute perfect choice for Argentina....who came up with that idea? Whoever it was deserves a medal
But I do see where your coming from all the same but I don't think he would ever be the English manager, as far as I'm concerned the English team need an English manager, and faster players.

Germany was my favourite at the start....everybody around me told they are not good enough....after one easy win vs Australia the opinion totally changed.
Welcome to the football world....one day its all...the oher day its nothing...

Slightly differences between most of the teams....since every country can play from a decent organised defence and go for the few counterattacks. Best example is Swiss vs Spain.

you need to use the edit button because
1.you have now added two posts that have no relation to the thread title. Thats two posts people have to read which have nothing to do with the world cup.

2.it takes up 2 of the 20 posts on this page of the thread, meaning people will have to look onto another page earlier than they would if you didnt leave extra posts instead of using the edit function.

Anyway........ delighted to see France lose last night, they were rubbish and well the irish part of me wanted them to lose anyway. Hopefully SA will beat them in the last game, which isnt beyond the realms of possiblity

You only did it after I explained how to! So don't try and take the high ground!

The_lambs post was just pointing out you need to edit your posts instead of telling everyone its a double post, simple. Also, for once, would it be hard to type with a bit of English grammar?

Hope the Germans put on a show today win the group, USA draw with Slovenia leaving it open for us to win the group on last day, avoiding the Germans in the last 16.

Fingers crossed no Heskey.
