Hey hey hey, easy now chuffy, i havent said a thing about england, its a shame there out and all but they were'nt good enough, same as scotland in the qualifying. Even though we played pretty well, and were JUST beaten by the dutch.

And yeh germany are the better team by far and could be in with a shot of winning. I dont think we could have said the same about england if they had reached the quaters

Wrong. Anyone who qualifies has the chance to win it. You have to earn a right by playing well, winning all (or at least the majority) of your games and being the best team in the tournament.

Its funny, becuase, I always cheer for Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland and the R. of Ireland.

Went to the pub to watch *that* match against France and was supporting Ireland, and was up in arms about the 'goal' that denied Ireland the *chance* of going through.

In return, we get people laughing at England when we go out, and glorying in our misfortune.

The only conclusion which can be formed is that such people have inferiority complexes about their own national teams.

Anti-English half of you lot are on here. Funny really. Say i wasn't a mod, and the role was reversed to say "Scotland" being knocked out of the 2010 world cup by Germany (i know, im still trying to get to grips with it).

If i had posted some of the comments i've seen the "anti-English" post, my posting rights would have been revoked.

Funny how it all rolls so smooth for the other UK countries.

To you lot, the English are racist, big-headed and o yeah, repetative about "66".

Yet, all i've seen is the exact opposite from where im standing. Apart from the fact it's you lot who bring "66" up, then moan at us for celebrating the fact we have won the world cup.

To be honest, this thread was pointless. We, as fans can moan about our country in THE world cup thread. We got knocked out of THE world cup, we qualified for that world cup. So we have a right to post in THE world cup thread.

Funny how the likes of arpeggi is giving a few people grief about posting the England result in the world cup thread. Aint you a Scotland fan "Peggi"? Then inevitably, you shouldn't be posting in that thread then mate. You didn't even qualify.

The way I see it. Anyone who is in any competition has a right to try and perfrom their best and hopefully win it. Scotland, Ireland, N Ireland had a right to finish top of the qaulifying group, and thus qaulify for the World Cup. You didn't take that right! England did! Tough shyte get over it!

We had a right to try and perform our best in the World Cup. Unfrotunately we were shocking and we're outplayed by the Germans. Fair play to them. Yes we had a clear goal rules out that could have changed the game but nothing can b done now. Just gotta look forward to playing well on the pitch again and trying our best to qaulify for Euro 2012.

If you want to make a thread about Scotland etc not making it to the World Cup go ahead and see if anyone cares, but a moderator saying things like that doesn't really sit well with me to be honest, your supposed to be the grown up one about all of this....arent you?
This thread...was not pointless, as most people by now have understood this thread was made because all we ever heard about on the World Cup Thread was England's woes and hardships even when they were OUT of the World Cup and therefore....no one needs to hear about them anymore...I mean come on no one goes on and on about the French being out or Italy and people are getting fed up of hearing about Englands disaster (not just non-English people I'll have you know)....

yes ryan you are right , a team who qualify's has qualified for a reason because them have played there games and won the right to try for the world cup.

Yes "arpeggi" is a Scotland fan but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a right to discuss other teams still remaining in the World Cup...
seriously, I expected much more from a recently appointed 'moderator' before you came along and made your comments everyone was just getting along for the most part and discussing things, then you a 'moderator' came along and started all this....a bit out of order in my opinion
