Well Torres is inelgiable for the FA cup so...

At least he can play in Champions League? Something Liverpool shalt play in for another few years

Yeah yeah you won it five times.... but you still cant qualify to play in it

Also, well done Brighton...it was tough to go to the Britania and get a result. Even if you lose 10-0 Im dead proud of you lads!

Christ I bet you wish that football matches were only 45 minutes long now! Haha what are the chances of there being no more goals in all them games?

Yeah haha!

Well I have faith, I think Swansea are 100% and I think Colchester are 100% thats confidence! QPR are good defensivley so im hoping the 1-0 lead is good enough! Chesterfield are away and they do worry me a little.

But I guess you have to be positive! And at least they arent all losing which is usually the case hah!

Come on Torqers!

The difference between league 1 top and mid premiership showed today, stoke didnt play well today but still baged 3 goals Brighton couldnt cope with the height and power in the box from corners, maybe look into getting a bigger defence.

But they still put effort in and now they need to concentrate on the league hopefully Championship next season for them must of brought 6,000 down stoke today decent turn out more than you get from wigan

Espicially with half the City going United for crawly lol

See Liverpool dont exactly have a 'amazing' atmosphere but your right Arsenal are proberbly the worst!

Stoke are without the best we over chant united at old trafford liverpool at anfield thats just what we do

Yet not at home to Brighton in the 5th round of the FA Cup?

Anyone poor team sings away at Liverpool, its like their cup final

Derry, why are you being so smug about the champions league? You'll be lucky to finish 4th with the most expensive team in the premiership.

Its embarassing. Wish Liverpool could spend 70M£ in January.

We spent £1M

Spent 1m?

That's a silly statement to make. You spent 50. That is a fact. Your expenditure will only be minus 1 but you still spent.

I'll be smug about the CL bcoz I know we will qualify and know liverpool won't. And there isn't anything liverpool can brag about seeing as its just the Europa league in contention and a top 7 finish.

On Si's comment about the Brighton fans... Very true about half going to crawley and still they travel in numbers. If Chelsea wernt playing during the day I was going up. Was £15 a ticket! Brilliant to see it made affordable for everyone.

Its not only brighton that can't cope with stokes set pieces! Dominant

Hahahahaha. We both know that is not how football accounts are run.

In a profit and loss acount, we would have lost £1M, however cut the wage bill.

Chelsea will have lost £72M and the wage bill will have rocketed further.

Though I doubt many chelsea fans will be losing sleep over their finances just yet.

Irresponsible spending seems to be the way forward to succeed in the premier league. Chelsea and City are living proof that if you throw enough money at it you wll get short term success.

Well I guess Chelseas managers have opted for quality over quantity unlike Liverpools. We didn't spend ANY money last season and won the league and Fa cup? Also the season before SPENT 4million and done the double.

Liverpool won't feel success for a very long time, until someone rich swoops in... Then you will be just as dirty as Chelsea and City and Arsenal and United...

Don't think you can tar Arsenal with the dirty brush, and we do not need to throw money around, we can wait.

Having no debt on the club is a lovely thing, and means we can spend what we earn, rather than spending other peoples money.

Liverpool and Arsenal will be in a great position in 10 years time IF the fair play rules are in play.

Chelsea, United and to an extent, City will have to change their model.

IE, the trophies can no longer go to the highest of bidders.

This thread is boring btw, the last one went 99 pages in the time this has gone 13! Booo!

Isn't there a new a fifa ruling coming where you need to be operating at a profit to compete in the CL?

That'll have been when I was a regular here to argue with you horrible scoucers all day long wont it?

But you're right about the whole money thing, I'd much prefer to see Arsenal and even Man Utd (as much as I hate to say it) do well over the likes of Man City and Chelski, at least they've earned where they are and worked up to it, rather than being a fairly mediocre team suddenly have hundreds of millions of pounds put into them to spend extortianate amounts on players and suddenly be challenging at the top.

Undefeated in the last 8 games now, the machine roles on to West Ham at weekend.

They are playing well so will be a very tough game.
