He then won the Champions league, league, fa cup...

Left to Real Madrid but unfortunately Barca are unstoppable.

All these clubs were good, but Porto and Chelsea at the time werent competing with Benfica and Manchester United/Arsenal/Liverpool.

He has broken more records in the shortest amount of time than any other manager, some records being the most prolific records to date.

Finally -
The last time Jose Mourinho lost at home in the league was 9 years ago. Yes, nine.

Febuary 23rd 2002 whilst he was at Porto, losing 3-2.

He holds the most goals, best defence, best home record in the Premiership, Seria A and Portuguese.

All this and he has 30 years on Fergie.

Its similar to the Messi vs Pele/Maradona.

Messi has done all they've done and more. And he has another 10 years of top flight football in him.

Fergie is no match for the Special One.

And Liverpool fans, to think... He was going to become your manager, he even said he'd prefer liverpool job to chelsea job. But ended up at Chelsea!

I love him

just saying at all his cubs he has had unlimited resources and exceptional teams to start with the porto took he had included:

bosingwa, carvalho, ferreira, deco, maniche, pedro mendes, benny mccarthy and other very good players.

chelsea had: cech, makelele, lampard, cole, gallas, drogba, robben, ferreira, carvalho, duff, terry, huth and other unplayed players who have gone on to have brilliant careers

Inter Milan had an exceptional team

Real Madrid have an exceptional team and bought a load of decent players.

all the time money was never holding him back because these clubs were/are the richest clubs in their leagues while he was there

id like to see him in a limited resource environment to see how good he is when he cannot sign amazing players to get his team out of trouble if things are not going right e.g. ian holloway and david moyes are fine examples of people who have done great jobs with limited resources

Lol, Bosingwa, Pedro mendes, Mccarthy, Ferriera. This was 2003. Most of the players were early 20;s late teens. They were not worth of any value back then.

Hardly a quality team anyway. You missed out their amazing goalie, Hilarious...

Manchester United have been the richest club in the world at points, and have ran the league due to being the most profitable/richest English club. This is why I dont understand the whole money thing. Its like saying if Brighton were taken over by money, we could then of bought Falmer the new stadium. We could invest in youth facilites of the best quality. We could afford to have scounts in Asia, Africa, Europe etc. We could afford the best coaches, we could afford the best scouts.

But Brighton dont have what United have. And neither did Chelsea. Its not as exaggerated but it clearly shows a good point im making. Nobody thought of Chelsea as a prolific team, whereas United were already the top named team in the world. So Fergie has had the easiest ride possible. Mourinho has had to adapt to different languages, living conditions, cultures, clubs, players, chairmen.... whilst Fergie still probably lives in the house hes had for 30 years.

So we were compairing Jose to Alex. Not Jose to Ian Holloway. Seriously though, just saying that sounds ridiculos. Fact is Mourinho is a god of football, he can do things that no other can I believe. He is unique.

all of the money, success and popularity is due to ferguson and the united youth set up
jose had everything handed to him on a plate he was simply exceptional at eating from his plate

See you can't dismiss the fact Jose is a good manager it still takes time and effort!

Man City all the money in the world all the players they want but still finding it hard to do anything special where I think Mourinho specilises in these types of teams give him City and he will get them a trophy as they have got everything he needs

But Fergie is a true Legend he's everything a team will need he starts from nuthing and takes them to the top and personally the best manager to grace the game (Imo) but he is abit of a sore looser and can be a baby but he is just defending his team and when a manager shurgs of a defeat whats going on there I like passion I want a manager to be annoyed I want them defending their team to the hilt because if you just let it by pass you then is your hart actually in there?

International is a completly different way of football though

Personally no I don't because he has only got whats infront of him he can't go around the world after inspiration from players

I think you need a diffeent type of manager from International to League for example Sven not to great for England goes to Leicester and proberbly had the berst run of form in the league and he's unberlievable now

-This might go off topic now -

You need a manager who can make what you got the best, look at every player and let them all have a chance see what works and does not work thats what friendlies are for but us as a Country don't seem to try new we see it to get a good result personally we could loose 5-0 in a frinedly but atleast we would see how 10 different players react in different situations we need more diversity on the pitch whats wrong with giving Shawcross a chance? matthew Etherington there are loads across the Country and they don't even get a lookin

For passion I dont think Mourinho loses the battle.

Mourinho becomes the team, he takes the pressure, he takes the blame and doesnt ask for anything in return but performances. Jose I believe can make a player perform, whereas Fergie will get personal and maybe, kick a boot at them, or tell them to break up with a girlfriend... Like he has done so.

Mourinho is much much more than an amazing manager, regardless of how much resources he has had. He inspires and creates tention, atmosphere...he is a showman, he is the ultimate definition of hype. And he brings that into his managerial skills.

I just want to stress, Fergie has had unlimited resources, since forever. Man United is the most established team in history, they are too big of club to be financially inadaquate. They are too big to fail.

Also, David Beckham was Mr United & Fergie couldnt take it. Then Ronaldo blew up, even more suffering for Fergie. But there would be no one on this planet that could over shadow Mourinho, his presence is illuminating. Ronaldo now at Madrid with Mourinho, its all about Mourinho. He is a god already and has only done half a season. Even with Ronaldo smashing goals in and not being top of the league. Its all about jose.
