Hmmmm, new manager, 9 games gone, 9th in the league.. I would say villa are punching above there weight, Easily 10-12 better teams in there premier league than them.

Would love to see Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan go down, All three poorly supported teams and are mid championship at best..(thats in terms of fan base etc)

We've dominated the first half, managed to get one in before HT. Hopefully we should go on from here and bang in a few more. Next goal is very important.

Was at the game today and i can safely say the second half is the worst i've ever seen us play, not a single shot on target and only 1 all game, which was a penalty..

I'm not going to use the excuse that the sending off changed the game either, at the end of the day if you stamp on a player purposely, you're going to get a red card, it's a simple as that. Inexperienced players for you.

However the substitutions from "Eck" actually had me scratching my head, taking off Bannan (who was argueably our best player) just bemused me, then bringing on Heskey shortly after and sticking him out on the left where i don't think he has played once in his career left me confused once again.

I understand that we don't exactly have the best squad for Eck to work with, but the changes that he makes in certain situations leaves me, along with many other Villa fans wondering what is going on..

Then you have to take into account that we've only played 1 good team this season, where we got trounced 4-1 and it could've quite easily have been more..

The only positive i can pick at this moment in time is that there are a couple of poorer teamsin the league than us, but at this moment in time i just fear that worse is yet to come!

In the cup they basically just played their subs and a couple of their reserve players against us, i think only Chris Eagles was the only first team player to play.

This is no wild comment but i would rather Grant Holt in my team than Andy Carroll, Holt has played in every division and scored regulary in every division.

I would be so peed off if i was a liverpool you could have had edin dzeko, aguero, Darren Bent who were cheaper than carrol and proven goal scorers!

Imagine aguero and suarez leading the strike force!

They could of only had aguero if he wanted to go to Liverpool, which he didn't, same with dzeko

Don't get me wrong i don't think carrol is terrible i am sure he would do well at a club like coventry or watford.

I don't know why you want Randy Lerner out, I went to st james park about 6 year ago next to the away fans (aston villa) and you all had A4 papers in your hand with the picture of the last chairman wanting him out..
He has spent a lot of money has Lerner but also sold a lot of good players on at a good profit, Downing and young etc
