its all about learning the angles

also play great players, you might be dominated but you learn a lot, take me and destiny for example, im improving just by playing him.

also try potting the blue into every angle that helps alot with angles

Yeah thats def the best piece of advise so far.

there are very few occasions where its better to go for a baulk colour instead of black or pink.

And usually its actually harder to maintain position from the baulk colours than it is to take on the black.

Can never understand those people consistantly going for the lower colours when black/pink are available.

Always look for an angle to bring some reds out and if black is tied up then try and move it asap..

Also, make sure you know how to pot the colours when its at the end as it makes it alot more stress free when you know exactly where the balls going to land..

(All that advise has gone out the window with me these days, all i do is foul and just smash the balls anywhere) :L

good tip i use is wen u logg in have screen window half the size and shoot some pots when u get into game maximise screen and potting is way easier

Don't violate fair play guidelines.

If you want to improve potting, practice on the original table, if you want to improve position, practice on the arcade/reg table (bigger balls + smaller table = less margin for error) and if you want to learn how spin works practice on the carom table. Works for me.

Also, before I play an arc/reg tourney or clan game I play 5 or 6 games of original as the long pots will seem much easier. Also works before ranked killer.

Not sure if anyone else does that though or if its just my OCD.

you're right adam, i play orig before clan games as well. same principle as what ant mentioned with the small window size in the beginning (haven't thought of that before).
other than that, everything's been mentioned. learn to pot the black from anywhere on the table and learn the spin as it comes off the black. if you can put cue ball anywhere while potting black, then you'll be fine. position is way more important than potting...
