Just a thought here, I've been watching the Snooker all day, and all you here most of the time is the umpire going "Powerzone".

With this, will there be a Game Notice (the same ones as 'boyler_lfc got a break of 29 points') where it says Powerzone ??

What I think could happen is where the break comes up, underneath your name on the scoreboard, it could say Powerzone. This could also happen for the Powerplay....

also sound sound it out, maybe nick can do a referee voice or something or take it from the play this afternoon

I don't know if it's worth an announcement everytime the cue ball is in the powerzone, but there could certainly be a sound effect or visual effect (red ring around cue ball?).

Most players will know after a short time when they arer in the powerzone though, so a more important visual aid would be when you were on Powerplay. I would be good if this was very noticable, like a change of table color, much like the light effects in the real game.

One thing, after watching it in action, I am convinced it would quickly become a very popular game on here. After all, everybody here is a fan of snooker (and/or pool/billiard s in general) and it's not often we get to use the same skills in a new and different challenge.

Best of all, this would give funksnooker what straight pool gave funkypool - a game with no maximum, so there will always be a challenge to beat the highest score.

Carom already had no maximum.

I see the point against the audio indication for PowerSnooker but I think its totally appropriate. The game itself can be a bit confusing when you first play it and im sure people will tend to forget in the long run to. Plus if you are constantly against the clock then you may tend to rush and therefore forget the powerzone. Especially once the power ball has been pocketed.

I think the audio should be the chap off X-Factor or an overly sexual sounding female. If you think thats sexist its probally true but im sure the majority of users would vote for a female so what can you do?

I think the white in the powerzone should be taken out of the game if its brought here.

Simply because it will be too easy to score heavily..

The reason the powerzone is there is because the shots are usually long shots from that area, but on this game they're not..

Not sure what you mean by that because if you mean total score, there is no maximum in ordinary snooker anyway and if you mean break, the maximum is 396.

Actually, whilst watching it yesterday, the commentator said the highest break was actually 99 without the powerball and using the powerzone, (I think)

Correct, which is why I added both in to produce the maximum possible 4 x 99
