is it possible to reduce the time limit from 20 sec to 10 secs in tourny as most people i play slow play everytime its there turn!

it really annoys me when people do this! i dont mind when theres like 2 mins left yano but 12mins to go come on please dont be so stupid!

wat are peoples thoughts?

I think a reduction to 15 secs would be worth a try. I don't mind people wasting time, but I think it would reduce the advantage of breaking off first.
At the moment, most games (in my experience) last 3-3.5 frames, meaning one player usually gets to break off twice vs once. With a 15 sec. limit, we might be able to fit a 4th frame inside the 15 mins?

Everyone has there own style of playing some people place cursor down within 2-3 seconds some 17-18 seconds, Would be a bit pointless just chaginging it because you dont like to play people who take a few seconds longer.

It would be nice to get a 4th frame as there is a definite advantage for those who break first.

I dont think 15second shot clock is the solution though because it can be too tight at times when you need to decide on your next shot if nothing is easy.

(unfortunately i dont have a solution other than the 15seconds though

Seems here that you think 15 seconds will make people play just as good, when actually a fair few users will play worse and it'll actually take longer to complete a rack of powersnooker.

20 min total for a game would be the ideal solution but that would change a lot of things.

The original tournament rules of Power Snooker is a 20 second shot clock. I think it should stay as it is, as it is just part of the game.

Yeah, tough to say. I mean speed games don't take as long as regular timed games. But I take the point about more missing. Not sure which one is faster.
One of the disadvantages of 20 mins would be that people can barely be bothered to play the 15 as it is.

True, although the real rules also have a 30 min game time...

10 sec clock should be enforced, power snooker is meant to be fast paced and play slow tactic cant be used.

There is a major difference between fast play and rushed play though.

Forcing 10 second play would decrease popularity which is not the aim.

I know that is the main issue. Shame really as 20 min would be ideal for it too.

Even though its 20 secs, some people still take like 25-30 secs per shot and not get a random shot for it either

Not far off 3,000 posts, been round for ages and you're saying you don't know why this happens? It gets brought up every week! Slow connections make it look like they may have more than 20 seconds when they don't at all, they have 20 seconds like all of us, so what you said it total rubbish to be honest.

Excuse me, ive already brought this subject up, and nothing has been done about it. I also mentioned, it wasnt a lag, as the other persons cue was still moving + 20 secs, so you see, its you who is talking rubbish. Im not that thick to know someone is taking more than 20 seconds to take a shot, DOH
BTW.... thanks for looking at my profile HA
